Wonderful story!
Wonderful story! Adorable pictures and teaches children one way to ignore the sounds around them when trying to relax or fall asleep. Very sweet.

Book for Space Week
This book is just the right level for the students in my class (3-5 year olds with Special Needs). Not too much text per page and the pictures captured their interest. I'm glad I added it to my personal library for "Space Week".

Sweet and fun
My 6 year old son is really into astronauts and space and loves this book. It is a perfect bedtime story about a little boy who has to go to bed but it is too noisy in his house so he gets in his rocket and takes off for the moon for a little peace and quiet. He has a picnic while there and by the time he returns it is all quiet in his house and he is ready to go to bed. It is a sweet, nice book with wonderful illustrations. I highly recommend this book for anyone with a little boy with an imagination and thinks it would be cool to go to the moon.

A thoughtful and funny bedtime story
This is a whimsical and gentle story illustrated with simple, childlike drawings. A thoughtful and funny bedtime story from a child's point of view, true to every little kid's way of thinking. I love how it so matter-of-factly moves between Nicolas' reality and his imagination. Or maybe it's all real? :)

Needs a science editor
"The lack of gravity was a problem. The tomato slices rose softly into the atmosphere." What???Science lesson for the author:a) There is gravity on the moon. The escape velocity of the moon is 2.38 km per second. So the tomato slices need to go that fast or they will come back down.b) The moon has no atmosphere.I despise children's books that quietly teach misinformation. Imagination is great, misinformation is bad.
