This disinfection kit was very simple to use. After pouring it down the well, you hose off the sides of the well, close it up, and use your water for 10 days as normal. I could hear it react with the water when I poured it down. There was absolutely no smell to the water like there would be with a bleach product. On day 10 follow the instructions for collecting the sample to mail to the lab. It's included in the purchase price. I was treating my water for coloforms. In about a week I received a written report from the lab showing coloforms were "absent" . It was easy and it worked. Will use again in the future!

Ok. Good stuff first. I just took my first non-disgustingly-stinky-shower in a decent bit. Sooooooo aaaawesome. Disinfectant kills stinky bacteria. Now for the negative. There is nothing on the instructions making sure you BYPASS your water softener/filter if you have one. Nothing. Perhaps this is glaringly obvious to the rest of mankind, but it was not to me. Right after doing the disinfecting I thought our well pump had stopped working. No water after about 5 minutes. But it was not the pump, no. Our softener was clogged to the point that water just couldn't get through. Praise God for the kind man who came out in the evening to figure this out for us and not even charge overtime. Good grief, if only the instructions had clued me in to turn the extremely easy 'bypass valve' on our softener system before doing this blessed ritual.

Our well is only 5 months old...but the sulphur smell was noticeable. It was very easy to use and no waiting 24hrs to use the water. Just use it as normal right away. We just put it in a little over a week ago so I will try to remember to update this if anything changes. FYI we just have a water heater and a water well pressure tank with a filter between the 2 units....we did not have to bypass that filter. I have heard that you may need to bypass other filters if you have like a water softener system.

I hope you guys never go out of business! This was much easier than the last time I had my well shocked. I poured the treatment down the well on Saturday (hosing down the sides of the pipe as instructed) and by Monday that rotten egg smell was completely gone!

Bought a rural house with a contaminated well. Well service technician suggested a bleach based approach that didn't work, was smelly, was dangerous, and was difficult.... Then ordered the ETR kit. Easy to use and effective. Their test came back negative for bacteria so I had a second test just to be sure. Same results. I plan to use this as a maintenance approach a couple of times a year. Wish I could give them 6 stars.

This made well disinfection VERY easy. I was amazed how well it worked. One little bottle down the well (contaminated by disgruntled renter) and several days later all tests were negative. THANK YOU.
