Areful 16.4ft Plugin LED Rope Lights, Flat Flexible Strip Lights, Color Changing with RF Remote Control, Waterproof and Connectable for Indoor Outdoor Decoration, 7 Colors and Multiple Modes

This was a decent quality product, which I used for outdoor holiday light decoration on my house. The light ropes were very weather resistant and the remote worked well for me from the distances I needed. I was able to connect a couple of sets and use them with a single remote. For me, though, the major failing is that when I plugged the string into a timer (not included, 3rd-party), the lights turned off no problem, but when they came on the next evening, they were set on the first color option (solid red). In order to have the lights on the setting I choose (anything other than solid red), I have to leave them on full time, or manually set the color with the remote every day. This was a very important feature for me - if included, I would consider this a 4-star product, but since it doesn't, I aim to return them.

Areful 16.4ft Plugin LED Rope LightsFirst of all, these are NOT flat and while flexible, they are not flexible enough to be called that. They are robust, they are bright enough, and they will handle outdoor situations. The housing is thick and is the same housing on standard rope lights with screw connectors and waterproof caps at the ends. Large plug and both a remote and onboard controller. The only real downside is that the functions are one click only, one button. So you have to cycle through all the lights and all the flashing modes to find the one you want. Also, they are set, so you get the colors then the modes and no combination options. It's a good and cheap awning light or rope light but it lacks the higher functionality of some more expensive lights.

The light seems ok but they don't give you enough mounting clips. I have enough for half the light to not droop. The screws that come with the clips are complete garage. Typical Chinese junk. The worst quality. Now that I've finished installing this light i hate it. If you put it on a switch everytime you turn it off and back on you have to reset the color. I put it on the front steps at my parents house and now when the lights come onthey are red. Horrible product. I'm throwing it in the garbage and buying something else.

These have not been placed in their final use location, but we’ve already had fun - adults and children - watching the changes both using the plugged in changer and the remote. Both work as shown in instructions. Our only wish-list item would be to dial a specific color. As we plan to use these, the plugin will be inaccessible and the remote necessary. We will be looking into ordering a second remote (just in case - several people will be using the remote and we all know how small things can vanish. The lights illuminate sufficiently for the backlighting we plan, and the lighting is bright with a wide variety of shades. Except for knowing how long this will last (crossing our fingers!), we’re content with this purchase.

I have a home theater and was looking for something to liven it up. I bought one strand of these lights, with the thought in mind that if they did not work how I liked then no big deal. I put them up yesterday in the ceiling in an alcove and turned them on. The remote is wonderful for that application, your are able to change lighting by cycling through the button. Not sure how many but several different light shows , changing colors, flashing, steady and at the end of all that they shut off. Not sure of how long they will last but I ordered three more ropes to complete my ceiling and give it a great look.

First one I ordered did not work at all. Second one worked great ONE time. After first use, lights would not work. The fuse was replaced, connection checked, nothing. By the time I realized it, return window had closed. The one time they worked was great, exactly what I needed. Worthless thereafter.

The lights are actually great lights BUT my kids bedrooms are back to back to each other. When one kid goes to change his LED color in his room, the other one changes too!! How frustrating is that especially when I spent about an hour tacking these things to the ceiling! There should be a dip switch on the receiver so that you can change the frequency at which the remote and receiver communicate. Again lights are great if you don't have 2 sets of lights that are close enough to each other that the controllers conflict.

So far this rope light has been working great. I did have to return the first one as the remote was not working. The second set has been great. The only thing I don’t like is you have to cycle through all the modes in order to turn it off. There are many color and light mode options
