Submersible Pool Cover Pump with Automatic Shut Off

The "automatic shut off" works but it does not turn on automatically. This is on a small spa cover and the description says it will auto turn on when the water reaches a certain depth. It is not turning on. We pick it up and set it back down in the same spot and it turns on. Drains nicely and shuts off. Next rain, usually the next afternoon - same problem. It has not been touched in between.Update: After a few afternoon rains of not turning on, it does now auto start. But then it just keeps running and does not auto shut off. Still looking for something else.

Worked once for a few days and then quit pumping water. Pumped extrenely slowly. Now it isn't working at all it seems. I didn't expect fabulous, just working. And it no longer is.

Worked great for first 24H+, pumping nearly submerged area dry but after 2-Days, I found the Pump not running and submersed in about a foot of water. I pulled out and put in a sink of water and it still would not run. I assume the Overload permanently failed in the Off State or the Pump itself seized.

Doesnt pump out as fast as this says it goes slow

This pump was easy to use if it would have worked. However as soon as I put it in to start pumping the water off the cover, nothing happened. I let it run for over an hour and not a single drop came out of the hose. What a waste of time and money. The pump wasn’t strong enough to do anything. Would NOT recommend this at all.

Seems like it works but then it simply doesn't work. It had to be in one certain position to stay on, but even then, it didn't stay on. Complete waste of money. And made my job of keeping the cover clear so much harder.

Pump speed is incredibly slow, i am returning product.

Works very well. Only issue is removing filter could be easier. Minor issue; this pump does the job.
