Nice idea, poor execution
The cane is not adjustable in length. The handle and tip are terrible, the tip is hard and slippery and the handle has no cushioning, so I have bought replacements for both. The flashlight part is not secured well inside the end of the metal handle, so it is now dangling inside the clear tube and really needs to be reinserted, once I disassemble the cane again. The on/off switch is touchy and doesn't always work. The clear portion of the cane is a thin walled tube that I fear will prove fragile. All that said, however, it is a keen concept and when it works, is very effective at lighting the path and making the user more visible. Please, make it a little better and charge a little more, so I can recommend you!

a little shoddy materials
The button for the light is realy cheap. It's barely held in place by friction and can easily be knocked out. It appears that the wiring isnt all that hot either. My cane stopped working after a couple uses and it appears that there's some wiring that is loose within and I will have to disassemble to fix it. when it works, its neat but really cheap workmanship.

LIGHTED CANE
WELL I LOVE THE IDEA OF THE LIGHTED CANE AND THE BATTERIES BEING IN THE HANDLE BUTIT SLIPPED FROM MY HAND ON THE FIRST DAY AND THE BUTTON ON THE HANDLE BROKE. IT SEEMED A BIT BRITTLE.SO NOW I HAVE NO WAY TO HOLD THE BATTERIES IN OR TO TURN ON THE LIGHT AND IT MAKES THE HANDLE UNCOMFORTABLE ON MY HANDI ALSO BROUGHT ONE FOR MY SISTER WHO JUST HAD HIP SURGERY AT 74 AND DID CAUTION HER NOT TO DROP IT. UNFORTUNATELY BEING OLD WE DO GET THE DROPSIES!I'M 72 SO WE ARE NOT TOO GOOD IN THE MECHANICAL FIELD ANYMORE. BUT GREAT IDEA!! Pathlighter Lighted Safety Cane

Not the besr buy
This was in third purchase of a Pathlighter Cane and was disappointed by the clear pvc used for the lighted section. It was very bendable and for fear of it breaking while in use by my 6'2 182lb husband who uses a cane daily to assist him walking due to his MS, we returned the cane and will be ordering a different cane. The Pathlighter Lighted Adjustable Cane in the past has been made of a higher quality material for every day use. This cane could definitely injury someone if it snaps while in use.

Poor design
The concept is fine, but the actual product has a propblem with the battery cover. It doesn't lock in place. so it falls out easitly. In fact mine fell out so many times, I misse dth elast tome and drove over it - now no cover and no light - YUK!

Made very poorly. The light is so dim you may as well not turn it on and the cane is flimsy. I didn't expect a lot since it wasn't a high priced item but after my mother tried it we were going to send it back but I failed to pick it up from her and get it returned so she has it in the box collecting dust.
