Review: Stainless Braided is Better Than Old Rubber - I bought our Kenmore washer and dryer in 2001. Twenty years later with regular maintenance they're still going strong. Even though the OEM rubber hoses on the washer worked and hadn't leaked, I thought it best not to tempt fate and bought a pair of these well-priced, stainless steel braided ones. They are of excellent quality and appear durable. They attached easily, and I've had no problem with leaks. They're quite a bit longer than the old hoses, so there's a bit of slack dangling behind the washer, but of course that helped avoid kinks and sharp bends.
