Smaller 3-Inch Bowl and 8-Ounce Bottle, Light Blue

We just bought our third Water Rover in 12 years, and only one of the two older bottles is actually not usable anymore. The oldest bottle, which still works, is red. We just replaced the blue bottle because our first blue one developed a crack in its bowl (after repeated drops over a six-year period! Kirby's dad carries it by hand; I carry the red bottle in a sling, so less accidental drops!) We take these everywhere - on walks, on vacation, in the car, on visits. These bottles are very sturdy and practical. The best thing is that there's no trick to getting the water quickly into the bowl, just pull the plastic snap-cap off and the water flows in. The bowl is large enough for even the longest snouts and widest mouths to drink from comfortably, and any leftover water easily and quickly flows back into the bottle. Snap the cap back on, and no water is wasted or lost. The key words for us are "quick" and "easy". We've tried other water bottles that required pressure to release the water (too slow! Kirby would lose interest and find someone else's water to drink!) or had bowls that were too small or narrow, with no way to return remaining water back to the bottle without a steady hand and a funnel. You can even fill this bottle without removing the bowl, just take the snap-cap off and fill it using the bowl. Super handy for filling when the bottle won't fit vertically under the faucet, such as at a shallow sink or a water fountain spout.Our only complaint is that the snap-off cap never seems to last as long as the rest of the product. It has broken off of all of ours (and several of our friends') bottles after anywhere from 2 to 5 years. BUT, I have found a great replacement, and it works better than the snap-cap, which can get difficult to use if you don't have the hand strength for grasping and pulling. It's the "Rabbit Wine Bottle Stopper" by Metrokane. They come in assorted colors in 2-packs, and they fit perfectly. I've seen them at supermarkets, kitchen gadget stores, and of course Amazon has them too. So there is no need to buy a whole new bottle if it's just your cap that's broken. I love being able to extend the life of these useful and practical water bottles. 13 years coming up for the red one and still my favorite! (Note that the Dark Blue 5-1/4" Bowl & 26oz Bottle is not the item pictured in this photo. This looks like the LIGHT Blue, 4" Bowl, 15oz. bottle, which is cylindrical. The 26oz bottle is cone-shaped, wider at the bottom than at the neck.)

I've had these for years & LOVE them. Found em at a dog festival & no other products compare. Love it so much so that I googled them and tracked them down on Amazon to buy more. They are perfect: the filtered water I put in for my dogs does not go wasted, it fits perfectly in my bag on the go, take up lil space in the car, super convenient, my dogs take to them easily & they are very durable. Great my for my chihuahua & my rottie. Im a dog lover and love any dog product that makes life easier- with quality. Thank you Rover inventors!!!

We purchased our first Water Rover after seeing someone at a park locally with one. They're super easy to use and clean, and can be worn on a belt (not the loop, but on the belt itself) or pair of sweatpants. This was the most important reason we started buying Water Rover bottles, as we often don't have a belt to clip the bottle onto. Most bottles have a belt clip or no clip at all, which is just unfortunate.As far as use goes, they are very easy to use. The cap snug fits into the opening in the bowl, and you tilt it to let water flow into the bowl and back out. Cleaning is a breeze too.Durability is decent, however we've broken two by dropping them. There is apparently a laminating/joining process that takes place during production, and the resultant seam between the threaded lid and the bowl are not sufficiently strong. Just have to be careful in that regard not to drop them or hold them by the bowl when the bottle is full as they will break.Overall outside of the aforementioned issues, 9/10 for sure. I hope they don't stop selling entirely; we'll gladly pay for more in the future.PS: We have bought at least 10-12 over the past 5 or so years and really love Water Rover. We were sad they stopped selling them on their site (owner apparently passed away). A great product, grabbed a few more that will hopefully last. Thanks for a great product!

It really serves a purpose. You can put ice cubes in it and wrap a cooling bag around it and it stays cold for a long time and allows your pet to get nice cold water when thirsty without making a mess everywhere.

This is the second one of these that I purchased because I like the concept and using it. There is only one weak point that required a replacement. The strap that hold the friction fit cap will break after time from pulling on it. My solution was to grind off the plunger (a small plastic rectangle) that is uncomfortable for your thumb on the cap.I then just unscrew the top while holding the bottle upright, and use my thumb to pop out the cap which remains attached to the plastic (now unstressed strap), screw the top back on, tilt the water bottle and fill the little dish for your pet to drink. When done just tilt the bottle upright to let the left over drinking water go back into the bottle, align the plastic cap and push it back in with your thumb (as is the protocol for sealing the bottle), but this side of the cap is smooth and made for resealing and there is no need to unscrew the cap again to do this.Works for me.

I had one for my pup, and bought this for a friend. It is perfect. No extra cup required. All in one. Highly recommend it!

I truly like this water bottle over many others. Nothing is absolutely perfect, but this works best for my shepherd/lab cross. I like the round bowl idea with the pull tab opening that allows the water to return into the bottle. I always get asked where I got the bottle. Its too bad it was discontinued at the local pet stores, this is the only way to get them now.
