It works!!!
I own a Galaxy S21+ and I could not wait for the opportunity to rate this adapter. In short - IT WORKS and it works great for both features. I have bought two other adapters for sound only - one for $8; one with two in the package for $7. The sound was crisper, richer base, and louder in the $8 one; the two in a pkg. Work ok for leaving one in the car and one in my briefcase. The sound portion on this unit is far and away the best of the bunch. I was thrilled to hear its booming bass, rich separation, and I had to crank the sound down on my phone. For the charging feature, I had purchased a dual feature device previously via Amazon and whe I tried to charge I thought it had damaged my brand new phone! The charging indication numbers started spinning rapidly, then the phone flashed off and on, and I managed to finally get the phone to power off as I struggled to unplug the adapter. After I checked all connections and tried again, it did the same thing, I gave up and sent it back. That device was more expensive than this one. With this unit I was able to play music and charge at the same time. The music does pause when you plug it in to charge and you have to restart it. The pause, forward, backward, volume, and microphone features on my cell phone worked fine. I must note that you might have low resolution or no sound on initial plug-in, requiring unplug, regardless, and verify seating in the nodes are pushed in all the way/not pushed in too far. I did not find this a problem. I own 5 of these devices and returned one. My experience is that every one of the required some adjustment of the connections. My husband has one of the $8 units I bought but after hearing the sound from this one and saw it charging as well, now he wants one of these adapters. I will be buying one for my husband and one for both of my daughters. I would definitely recommend purchase this device. BTW: my headphones were purchased for $1.49 at the Dollar Store. I also must warn that as of this writing I have had this adapter only5 days but I have used it at least five hours per day becuz I love the sound that much. I usually only listen to my Amazon Playlist about an hour or two when on a long trip which is not very often.

Works perfectly
Works very well. I am using it with 2017 MacBook, which only has one port. Now I am able to use headphones and charge the computer at the same time. Customer service was excellent: at first I thought I had a defective product because no sound came through the headphones... turns out I just needed to adjust the setting on my computer ("Audio Output", then select "USB"). I'm embarrassed to say I returned the first one ordered and requested a replacement because I thought it didn't work. Both the first order and its replacement arrived very quickly, and I eventually learned the problem was due to my ignorance - thanks to their helpful Customer Service for reaching out & following up. It's always a breath of fresh air to deal with nice people. Thank you!(seller: MxcuduDirect)

UPDATED - Replacement working as intended
----- UPDATE -----My original order was defective. The support team was responsive and quickly sent me a replacement. The new one is working and allows for both simultaneous audio and charging as expected. The build quality is solid, on both the replacement and the original. Be sure to pick up the aluminum version, not the plastic one.----- ORIGINAL REVIEW -----*Tested only with iPad Pro*Each port works fine independently, but having both headphones and a charger plugged in at the same time causes the audio to revert back to the default device speakers. Plugging and unplugging devices in a specific order did not resolve this. The headphones simply do not work when a charger is plugged in which defeats the purpose of having a combination dongle.

UPDATED REVIEW
***UPDATE***I do still stand by my 3 Star review of the white plastic adapter. Not a fan of the quality of that one. Bruce from Drift reached out to me and wanted to make it right. I agreed to try one of the alloy ones. It's black and is smaller (by a few mm) than the plastic one. It still does get caught up on things, but I suppose that is the nature of the beast while not having a separate jack for headphones. The alloy one does get a little warm, but not hot like the plastic one when plugged in. It is heavier and has a more durable feel. If you unplug the charger while using the headphones, the phone will register that the whole adapter was unplugged and the headphones do stop working until you replug the adapter in. I am more satisfied with the black alloy one and use it on a daily basis. The price seems to have gone up since I purchased mine, but do believe the alloy metal ones are worth it. Lastly, the customer service I received from Bruce was excellent. I was very caught off guard when he reached out since most companies do not, but I'm very thankful that he made the effort on behalf of Drift to make it right.***Previous review***It is compatible with the Google Pixel 3. A bit overpriced for the quality. Very cheaply made, feels like it'd easily break, bulky and gets caught up on things. Seems to get hot if plugged in to certain things. If you are listening to something with headphones and unplug the charger, it registers the headphones as being unplugged also. Probably would search more for something better quality and unfortunately wouldn't purchase this adapter again.

Didn't work with the Samsung Note 20 at first not works if I fight with it
Update 2; yes I got it to work but I have to keep plugging the power cord not the audio cord in & out of the adapter because if not it makes noises like an out of tune radio band. It works for a while & I have to repeat this process. I'm going to look for a better one on Amazon.Update; after plugging the power & aux cords in & out several times I finally got this to work on my Samsung Note 20. It seems to be working well now. I'm not sure why it took my gooing through this process so many times to get it to work. I may have just got a bad one idk. I canced the return. I'm just going to hope it keeps working.
