The cajon is great for recording and live use, sound quality is great. Value for money is average since a case comes to 1k anyway. There are more competitive cajons at 4.2k+ for a panic buy it's an excellent piece. Note packaging showed signs of water damage cajon is fine though. Dark mahogany tone is evident. It has a nice mid tone and slight hum that can be damped by adding a small cushion/sponge in the cajon during recording. Snare strings are a little tight but should open up over time. They're non adjustable. It's not the best but the wood quality used is far superior than others in a similar price range. Addition of the missing bag would have secured the 5 star.
