Secret to Application
I have read all the reviews, good and bad. It's all in the application!!!I have never had a problem with getting the patch wet, swimming or showering. Even heavy sweet during the hot summers. The patch will last the entire 14 days.It all boils down to the application prep & application. I would almost guarantee you those who have had problems just slap the patch on and never read the instructions nor prepare the site for an application.Follow these steps and get excellent results even if you apply the patch by yourself.Site prep -1. Wash about a 5" - 6" area with mild soap for 15 - 30 seconds and rinse with warm to hot water until soap residue is gone.2. Wash the area again with a mild exfoliant for the same length of time and rinse with warm to hot water again until any residue is gone.3. Wash area again only for 10 - 20 seconds with isopropyl alcohol using a washcloth.4. let the area dry completely for about 30 secondsApply the sensor - use a comb or spoon to press the edge of the sensor adhesive to skin firmlyApplying the patch - do not touch the just cleaned area with your oily fingers - ever!1. Carefully remove the patch - stretch the patch slightly to separate the paper backing halves at the junction about 1/16 of an inch without removing the paper from the adhesive part of the patch.2. remove the paper backing from only 1/2 of the patch, leaving the paper on the other 1/2 of the patch - keep the adhesive part of the patch away from your skin - it should be hanging about 90 degrees away and above the patch.3. With the paper still attached to the other side of the patch place the bottom 1/2 of the inner circle snuggly against the sensor, holding it in place with 2 fingers.4. now use your finger on the free hand to slowly press the adhesive part of the patch against the skin - working your way around the sensor from where 1 of the paper/adhesive edges meet on the patch to the other side slowly working your way around to the other side letting it snug up to the sensor as you apply it around the top half of the sensor. Smooth out the wrinkles as you go.5. now start at one side of the paper-covered patch and pell back the paper, exposing a little bit of the adhesive and apply the patch to the skin and smooth the surface.6. continue peeling the paper off the patch to expose the adhesive as you work your way around the sensor until the paper is completely removed from the patch and the material has adhered to the skin completely around the sensor.7. press firmly all around the sensor on top of the patch to make sure it is against the skin - smooth the patch material of as many wrinkles as possible.Following these steps will assure a good snug fit and the added adhesion to the sensor you are looking for. After showering or swimming, only pat dry the patch, do not rub or scrub it with a towel. Now after following this exactly - tell me it came off.Secret - clean exfoliated skin with no oily residue and careful application.

Needs to stay on, needs more adhesive for staying on....
Have tried several other kinds....this sticks a little better than the rest but once I take a shower it comes loose...even though I make sure the water doesn’t touch it....maybe moisture from the shower makes it loosen up

Good quality but hard to fit around the sensor
I am new to the Libre sensor. I did the research to see what would help keep the sensor on. I chose this product. I found the bandage difficult to fit over my 14 day sensor. the hole is smaller than the sensor, I wasted 2 before I got one on. Hopefully I will get better, The quality of the product is good. I have been wearing for 7 days now and the adhesive is still good.

Poor Product design
The holes in the center are not large enough to encircle the sensor, and the adhesive does not stay in place forvery long. These sensors are expensive and fall off due to the bad tape on these patches. Once the sensor comesoff it cannot be re-used. The sensors are prescripton and you only get so many per month. We are extremely unhappy. We waited to use these until we got the sensors, and now the return window is closed. These are useless to us. We would like to return them for a refund. Please get back to us.

Not the greatest patches.
I was very disappointed with these patches. I put one on with my sensor and it didn't stick. The adhesive didn't hold. I really wanted them to work. I'm back to Tegaderm bandages to help keep my Libre sensor on. Kind of wasted money on them.

Carefully apply. Wonderful shield
Love these little patches. Here is my advice.I last a week or so before losing these so we needed something that would keep it on. I used medical tape but it peels off every three days and needs replacing. So, here is my advice.1. Wipe your arm with alcohol to get rid of any oils on your arm.2. Fold your patch in half(I will say why in a minute). Align the inside ring right up against your disk.3. Peel off top piece covering adhesive patch then SLOWLY bring it over the ring making sure it is snug, but not covering the sensor and smooth out4. Lift up other side, peel, repeat. That should get it on perfect. My husband tried the first time just peeling the entire thing and putting it on and couldn’t get it centered. Then he tried peeling and putting one side in then the other. Messed that one up to. So I said try the above. It worked like a charm. I’ve posted three pictures. Notice the edge looks up just a bit. I did not start with wiping with alcohol.See pictures above:1=first try2=we second try. Worse than first3=third try that workedIf there are problems in two weeks I will come up and post a follow-up.

As Is, NOT Worth the Money or Aggravation
Very disappointed with this product. Difficult to put on by myself, and as you can see in the picture, after just 5 days, it's already starting to come off. Wish they made the hole smaller and the adhesive stronger so it would adhere to the sensor better and really keep it from falling off or accidentally getting partially pulled out.I would NOT purchase this product again unless some better changes were made. Not worth the money, time, or hassle!

Here's your solution, fellow Type 2s
Simply: it works perfectly. I used to tear out Libre sensors at least once a month before I learned about the Sugar Patch. Typically, I change patches after one week, otherwise they begin to come off. It's a very simple way to safeguard your sensor and streamline your Type 2 care.
