TAPP Water Not available

We are trying to reduce our use of plastic water bottles. We haven't eliminated all plastic, but we're making an effort. We've used Brita water pitchers in the past, but they always seemed to be be empty and we never knew when to replace the filter - now we have a collection of empty plastic pitchers in the cabinet. So we decided to try using a filter on the kitchen faucet. We went with the Tapp 2 after it was recommended by a neighbor and we like it. We just started composting, so it was interesting to see the filter can be recycled when we replace it. It was easy to attach, pretty much right out of the box. When I hooked it up, I saw some black stuff around the faucet. It was pretty gross to think our water was passing through it. Guess getting the filter was a good idea. I was worried how it would look in the kitchen, but now I like it. It's like a reminder to drink more water every time you see it.. I don't notice a difference in the taste of the water, but my daughter says it tastes better.

It was easy to install and I like that it's compact and not as bulky as some I've used in the past. The water tastes better then regular tap water but to me it doesn't have the taste of bottled water which I like. As others have mentioned the connector pipe that attaches it to the spigot part is loose and I'm concerned that when I try to change the filter it may break then I will have spent another $40 on something I can no longer use! I tried to find the warranty info but I can't seem to find any clear info about it.

I bought this system to replace my broken PUR filter. It was recommended by a friend who says the filter lasts a very long time, about 4 months or so (although the company recommends changing every 3 months). I was positively surprised about the taste. We have very chlorinated water and even though the flow rate is high the taste is better than PUR. I would say that if anyone is looking for a good way to save some money with filtered water, this is the way. If you have a caraffe that you can fill up and put in the fridge, it's much better and much cheaper than buying bottles of water. I use it for the dog as well. It is a very sleek slim design and it comes with all the different pieces for different types of faucets. I would recommend this product to any family or person that drinks a lot of water on a daily basis. Especially in New Jersey as they say there is a high risk of lead in the tap water.

Update: the entire filter unit flew off the faucet attachment point a couple of months ago. There’s simply no fix for it. I’m shocked and super sad because I loved this little filter and sang its praises to everyone who would listen. Now I’m not sure if I can recommend it. I’m hoping the company will stand by their product and offer a replacement. Will update this review again after that interaction.Original:Love this water filter!! It was easy to install on two of my sinks, and a total b*** to install on another. Once you find the right adapter, it is a breeze to use. It feels well made, and I love the fact that the entire filter is biodegradable. I feel great knowing I’m using less plastic bottles, getting quality water, and completing the cycle by adding the used filter to a compost pile. Definitely recommend!

*Update: Returning, unit broke apart within 2 months. Filter and faucet spigot is NOT built securely nor properly. Reduced from 3 to 1 stars*Came as expected on time, seems easy enough to install... if only I COULD install it! 😕 As you can see in the pics, the filter faucet port is a few hairs too small in diameter to fit my faucet head. The faucet is a 1 piece whole unit, so I can't screw off its tip, and the adapters included with the filter unit are all too small. So I'll have to go back out tomorrow to try to find an adapter that'll fit the filter on properly. Was a bummer since with the same - day shipping, had hoped to Volker to easily set up the filter and surprise my family with cleaner tap water. I loved the coupon deal, however! Just hope I'll find a proper adapter to finally start enjoying this filter.

The idea of a biodegradable filter to reduce plastic waste to zero is great. Overall the product is well designed including the packaging, materials and manuals. I have used other filters in the past, and this is certainly as well designed and built as any I have every seen. The biodegradable filter is the real game changer here. I was always bothered by putting in a filter in my house yet still having to throw out a plastic encased filter when it was time to change. Going forward this will be my go to house warming gift for friends.

With the growing issue of plastic pollution in our oceans and microplastics in tap and bottled water this is a great solution. The product looks nice, comes in eco-friendly packaging and has an app to monitor the filter usage. Ours arrived in perfect condition in just days as expected. Unfortunately it doesn’t work for our faucets in our home so we are gifting it friends who are also very excited to use it and save some time/money on bottled water! I hope to update the post once they install and start using it.

EDIT. The unit just flew off the faucet... jet washing one side of the kitchen. There is obviously a serious design fault which is a real shame as it has filtered the water really well, but I would expect it to last longer.We have hard water where we live and the tap water reeks of chlorine. The Tapp 2 Twist filter fitted very easily and instantly eliminates the odour which means we no longer need to buy bottled water... fantastic, no more lugging heavy packs from the shop, finding space to store them and then disposing of the empty bottles. It led us to then purchase a sodastream so we don't need to by carbonated bottles either.It doesn't stop scum forming on cups of tea (coffee is fine) but the taste is great.

Great little device, you can taste the difference in the water and very simple to use. Installation was easy and worked seamlessly on my modern tap. My 2 year old's comment on seeing it in the morning was "the taps wearing a hat".

We are happy with our Tapp 2 Twist. The best and most important of all is that the water tastes much better. We live in London and the water tastes a lot of chlorine and calcium. The taste of the filtered water with Tapp 2 is comparable with bottled water. But now we don’t have to go to the supermarket and spend money on plastic bottles! Before we had a Brita pitcher and Tapp is a big improvement.

I am surprised by the efficiency of this filter!! For a while I have been putting up with the taste of water in London, then switched to the filter jug but it was just too much hassle. I am really glad I came across this easy and convenient solution. I needed some pliers and a bit of patience to unscrew the aerator of my tap but once it was done I easily fitted one of the adapters provided to install the filter. I love this simple & smart design !

The media could not be loaded.  This didn't filter much or anything because I can taste no difference in my water since I have purchase so I only use the water for my humidifier and cooking. Also it's already leaking. I receive the product on 24th of october. I only just use it for over a month. Very poor quality product
