fairly good quality and versatility
For the price per can and taste of mussels its quite good. But lets be clear--if you're expecting plump just steamed large mussels, this is not that. It is however small mussels with an excellent mussels broth (don't spill it down the drain) that you can use in a quick pasta dish, frittata or fast mussel chowder. This is more valuable to get the mussel flavor in to a dish for a ridiculous low price. I would suggest chilling a can in the fridge before you use it to firm up the mussels (even if you're going to heat it). But again this is not fresh mussels out of the shell--that costs a bit more,

If you like fresh or frozen, you will not like these! Worst canned product I have ever tasted.

Good flavor and quality for canned mussels if you normally enjoy the flavor of mussels. Great for paleo diet. I will purchase again.
