Bayou Stix are great but AVOID SELLER "SUNSHINE DOLLARS"
DO NOT BUY BAYOU STIX FROM SELLER "SUNSHINE DOLLARS"Instead of Bayou Stix I received a bag of Kitchen Cravings Beef Meatballs, which my dog can't even eat. The barcode printed on the bag is covered up by a barcode sticker for Bayou Stix, which makes it seem like someone intended to deceive the warehouse robots. Despite being assured of my free return when I ordered with Prime, the "return or replace" page says the item is ineligible for return and has neither the option to contact the seller nor Amazon.Although I received the wrong item this time, I've bought Bayou Stix both when they were $5 in stores and $13 online, which is really a terrible price difference. My white Boxer, Zeke, has a very sensitive stomach, lots of allergies, and on top of all that he's picky about what he eats. Bayou Stix are a winner on all fronts: no poultry anything, no grain, they don't make dogs stink to high heaven like salmon-based treats, and most importantly Zeke loves them. I personally think the Bayou Stix smell great, like spiceless Slim Jim's and beef jerky, but my family disagrees. When I couldn't find these in stores anymore I bought some of the Snake River Stix, unfortunately Zeke was not a fan and I thought they smelled awful. I believe that the Bayou flavour must have been discontinued because none of the stores carry it anymore, despite still carrying the other three flavours. If this is the case: Blue Buffalo, please bring the Bayou Stix back!

Great treat!!!
I've bought all four varieties for my boys--the Snake River Stix (trout, venison, and rabbit), the Bayou Stix (alligator and catfish), the Denali Stix (wild salmon, venison, and halibut), and the Flatland Stix (turkey, quail, and duck)--and in all four cases these treats score a big "Oh yeah!" with my dogs. The boys go wild for these treats.I like them too: Grain free, only 6% fat (according to the Guaranteed Analysis), all natural, and Blue Buffalo quality. The only bad thing about these is that an entire stick only lasts about 15 seconds with my dogs (both 16-lb terrier sized); but that's "bad" in a good way. It just means that they really love these treats, and that the treats are easy for them to chew.So for what it's worth, I give the Wilderness Stix my highest recommendation. In the interest of full disclosure, I should probably mention that one of my dogs puked after I gave him his first Bayou Stick. I take full blame for that. How often do dogs eat alligator? I should have started him off with maybe a half stick to get his stomach used to it. However, there have been no repeat incidents since that first time; and this was only one dog and only with the Bayou Stix. Exercise appropriate judgement when introducing your pet to a new food item.

My dog goes crazy over these. There is a decent amount in the pack (I think I counted around 21 - 27 sticks, can't remember exactly but definitely at least 21). They were soft enough for him to break and chew easily. They had a strong fish smell but it wasn't a lingering smell. I'll be buying these again when they run out!

Very unusual treats
Alligator, trout and venison? Sold! They just got delivered today. Fairly small package, they smell VERY smoky and salty, and one stick lasted less than ten seconds, so don't count on them to keep your dog occupied, but they seem to be a high value treat, so will use them as the ultimate reward when we do training exercises.

Great for training
I'm assuming the flavor is good because my dogs love these, however I refuse to try them myself! But I do love that you can break down these sticks into smaller treats if youd like, makes it great for training!

Dog loves em, I wish they were tougher
Apparently delicious, but they’re super soft and easy to chew through. I wish they were a little bigger and maybe more like a tough jerky than a summer sausage in density
