The patented Dynastar universal step up/step down voltage converter and transformer is designed to keep you powered up no matter where you are in the world. Easily calculate the wattage of your appliances by following the handy guide below. Comes with 2 spare fuses for backup, and a Euro Schuko plug adapter to convert smaller electronics Heavy duty extra durable lifetime coil makes the converter and transformer safe for continuous use. Multiple appliances can be used with the same transformer, as long as wattage capacity is not exceeded Works for virtually any plug from anywhere in the world, with the exception of US 220/240 volt outlets (usually found on commercial products like washers and dryers) Five year limited manufacturer warranty HOW DO YOU KNOW WHICH CONVERTER YOU NEED? Check the total wattage consumed by your electrical devices and multiply that number by 3. You need a converter at least 3x the watts of the devices to leave enough room for surges in power they may utilize. To determine the correct wattage allowance of the voltage converter/transformer you need, first identify the wattage of the electronic devices or appliances you plan to use. This information can be found on the manufacturer's label located on the back or bottom of the device or appliance, or in the specifications section of the appliances' owner's manual. Called customer support and they said it was out of warranty and they will only exchange or refund within 90 days. I told them they state a 5 year warranty but they said they will apply some fees and then prorate the unit then I need to repurchase. If you can keep it working great, but if something happens you are on your own once your outside the desertcart coverage window of 90 days.

Product worked fine for 1 year, but then power light was on but no power was output on either plug. Called customer support and they said it was out of warranty and they will only exchange or refund within 90 days. I told them they state a 5 year warranty but they said they will apply some fees and then prorate the unit then I need to repurchase. If you can keep it working great, but if something happens you are on your own once your outside the amazon coverage window of 90 days.

I (stupidly) moved a coffee machine, slow cooker and a few other electronics from South Africa to the USA recently. Yes, a stupid decision, but I purchased this converter to use those appliances and so far so good. We have used the converter a few times a day for 2 weeks with no issues so far. Yes, its pretty heavy but nothing excessive. It has a nice handle which makes it convenient to carry. I could not find any converter which would accommodate the massive South African 3 prong plug but I have tons of international adapters around the house and it works just fine with one of those. I have not experienced any loud noise - you can hear a very quiet humming noise if you are in complete silence but that is about it. In all, the converter is sturdy and seems to be of good quality.
