Nice vest. Well made. Love the rechargeable lights. I wish the battery pack pouch were centered in the middle rather than off to one side. Or better yet, put it up near the neckline but mount it in the center. The weight of the battery pack being off to one side causes the lightweight nylon vest to slip down on the side of the battery pack. I will use it mostly without the lights, so I'll just take the battery out. It is a fine little vest.

It’s a little big on my dog but for what we need it for does the job perfect. But I would have ordered a small.

The media could not be loaded.  This is the third that I have purchased, and I buy them for one reason, and one reason only; they are the only quality, reflective durable vest, that I have found, that uses hard plastic clips with elastic straps instead of Velcro.No matter what, this vest will stay on your dog, and not move around. In the end, that is far more important to me than anything else.My dog is 11 years old and I’ve tried all kind of reflective vests. In 2018 I purchased my first vest. The only reason this is my third is because I’ve lost and broken the other two.The Cons:If you’re buying this vest because of the lights, it’s really important for you to know that these lights are not going to save your dogs life. They might seem really bright when you’re standing next to the vest, or when you’re looking at a video, but to the driver of vehicles, these lights will go completely unnoticed until it’s too late.Although the lights are super bright and work great for spotting your dog in the dark, they’re way too tiny and not powerful enough to be seen by a driver. I’m telling you this from years of personal, first-hand experience, and as being the driver of my own vehicle while my dog ran along outside. During my many, many nighttime off-road trail runs, I will attest that these lights aren’t gunna do squat… but those bright reflective white stripes sure will! Those bright stripes can be seen nearly a quarter-mile away. I don’t consider the lights to be a safety feature, but they sure come in handy when I’m trying to spot my dog in the pitch black night.. but that’s all the lights are good for.This vest is super durable… with the exception of the lights. On my first vest, some of the lights stopped working, on my second vest some of the lights would work and then not work. The lights are not at all waterproof. If your dog goes swimming, that’s the end of the lights. They would however survive a rain storm.Recharging the battery is inconvenient. You have to take the battery out of the Velcro pouch, and you’re not supposed to charge it for more than an hour. I don’t know about you, but I have a hard time remembering something I did 60 seconds ago, let alone trying to remember to unplug the vest from the charger I plugged in 60 minutes ago. Having said that, I’ve never killed the battery by leaving it plugged in for days.My dog likes to roll around in the grass. When she does that, she presses the button and will turn the lights off or put them in a blinking mode.The vest is made out of durable plastic-like material that is not breathable. I cannot use this vest on her in the summer months. It would be like walking around in a rain jacket, in the heat, when it’s not raining. I think if this vest were made out of mesh material, I would’ve given it five stars.

My German Shepherd (rescue, as they all should be) goes on hikes several times each week. She runs off leash, and always stays close to me because she's a major momma's girl, but sometimes she sees some deer or squirrels and has to chase them. Being a black and tan coloration she disappears easily with the woods and winter foliage. I always just put bells all over her so I could hear her wherever she goes, but when I saw this vest when looking for LED collars I decided to give it a try.I'm glad I did! I attached a few bells on it (from the doorknob bells you get for dogs), used a little Gorilla fabric glue to hold them in place, and now I have a vest that allows me to see and hear my baby girl no matter where she goes.I'm only used the LED lights a few times, and not very long, but they are VERY bright. She's never swam with this vest on (when I take her swimming she wears a life vest for that which is bright orange), but she's run through so much mud and creeks.... It's been fine getting splattered with mud and water, but has not been submerged. No issue with the battery coming out.You can see this from very far away. Where we hike there are fields and she can run very far in them and I can still see her.It also fits just fine. She's 55lbs, and being German Shepherd she has that tiny waist but massive chest. The straps also are elastic so they won't be tight on your dog allowing them to run and move freely.She doesn't even seem to notice she's wearing it. Definitely get this, especially if you let your dog run free off leash. Or for night walks! The reflective strips are very bright when the light, sunlight or headlight, hits them.Despite how much she's run around and been crazy it has not come off nor come undone. Very pleased with this purchase! :)(Make sure to watch "Dominion.")

The media could not be loaded.  Flexible, bright, lights work well. My dog is solid black and disappears in the dark even on his lead. My dog is 60lbs. Bought size large and adjusted to smallest size fits. Feel safer during hunting season. Disappointed that it was not what was shown in the first picture with the shepherd. Although it works well and will serve the purpose, I feel a bit misled. It did come a day early.

I really liked this it was super reflective and fit well. However it got in the way of his harness and made it ineffective. Had to send it back😔

We just used this vest for the first time this morning on our walk in the dark and it was awesome! The lights are so bright! Not yet sure how long the battery lasts as this was day one, but I have high hopes based on other reviews. We have a 55lb Lab mix and a size Large fits her perfectly. She really didn't seem to mind wearing it, and it being so lightweight probably helps. This definitely goes down as one of the best and most worthwhile purchases we've made on Amazon.

I had high hopes for this coat... but was sorely disappointed. I got a medium as I have a border collie who is quite tall but skinny. I had to put the straps on the minimum they would go (but I think a small coat would have hardly cover his body). The lights are good and bright but they aren't on his sides so were shining in my face. Quite blinding! The lights should be nearer the bottom hem. Also the battery pack is off centre so the coat kept slipping to one side which he and I found bloody annoying! I think it needed hind leg straps but even then I think it would still slip. I would NOT recommend this coat.

There is nothing inherently wrong with this vest. It's a vest with led lights on it and it straps to your dog.However, in use, the bright white led lights are a bad choice I think. They are way too near the top of the best which basically means they point upwards right into your eyes.If you walk your dog in pretty much pitch black mornings, you'll be unable to see anything else!The lights should be along the hem so that they are horizontal to the ground, and actually I think a coloured led would work better here. Not so blinding.I walk the dog on my bike and normally I like to keep my lights very minimal and let my eyes adjust to the low light. No chance with these lights. The only way to see is to out-gun them by turning my bike lights to full beam.So the vest does what it says it does in that you can see your dog well. Just don't expect to be able to see anything BUT your dog!I'm going to get rid and find one with coloured lights.

A friend told me about this so was extremely eager to give it a try - you can't beat a friend's referral.She told me - it comes up big...As you can see from one of the photos, I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel - he is particularly large for his breed. I went ahead and ordered the medium - as the last time I ordered a medium harness for him it was too small. It is too big but I get around it by putting his harness over it - this isn't even a negative as I could have sent it back for a refund and ordered the small.The vest itself is extremely bright orange - and as you can see from the photos the lights are amazingly bright. The fact that they are rechargeable via a USB cable (supplied) makes it even more amazing. You can have the lights on or flashing - you can see it from quite a distance.My dog loves it - thinks he's very smart in it and since I live in a rather remote place I can see him really well whilst he is off the lead.Highly Recommended!

We used to have a black dog. Swore I'd never have another black dog after "losing" him in the dark so often. Eventually, he passed, and we got another dog. He's black and as a young dog is full of chaos. I keep losing him in the dark on winter walkies. So we got this.As a large (40kg) black lab, we went for the XL size, and it's a bit long on him, but it fits nicely other than that.The LED lights are so bright they dazzle me when I look at him, but when he's chasing through the bushes in the dark, we can see where he is. The reflective stripes work well and as it's water proof and we're in the UK in winter, it's kept his back dry. Shame about all the mud splashing up his belly!Very easy to get it on him as there's a couple of strong clips to do on straps, so don't have to put anything over his head, which is a major plus!The battery pack comes off the jacket to charge, so I think it's probably safe to wash the rest of it as it's getting pretty muddy lately...

Absolutely brilliant. We cannot believe how long the tiny battery lasts - had eight full hours out of the first charge (even then it was still working but not just quite so bright). Seems to be really comfy for our border collie (Bart) as he is very happy to have it put on. All our neighbours have been asking where we got it from. Delicate little wire / connection from battery to jacket, so I guess you have to be gentle when handling the actual wires, but once in place in the wee velcro pocket, its good to run through the roughest hill ground without damage (thus far anyway). From initial observations / experience we have no doubt about highly recommending this great dog jacket. Makes your dog really stand out on poor weather winter dark nights. And Bart appears to enjoy seeing where he is going on a dark night from the light the jacket emits. Thanks Illumiseen, top marks.
