Works excellently with Sony Z3 Compact, strong magnet can lift the phone with it but dose not feel so strong that it would damage the phone removing it repeatedly over time. Its a hard plastic that seems some what machinable and like it will last I had to grind some of the lips down with a dremel to fit with my aluminium Devilcase, no more than a millimeter or so on both sides could probably get away with using a nail file for anyone else looking for the same set up. adapter fit snugly on the USB cable, I also ordered two of these with no evidence of inconsistency in quality between units. only issue I found so far with use is the GPS mount in my car clamps from the sides obviously in the way.I have seen magnetic car mounts might look into those if i can find one that wont turn my phone into a magnet and just has a metal plate or something I can stick on the back. I don't care much for degaussing my credit cards when I set my phone on my wallet.Anyway I recommend the Magnector x2, cheers.

Magnector X2 - Xperia Z3 (T-Mobile)
Decided to give it a try after reading mixed reviews. Glad I did. The X2 works great! The magnet is easily strong enough to lift the phone. I was a bit concerned it might not charge as quickly, but it seems to charge at the same rate as direct USB connection. Feels like rare-earth magnets. My particular case, "VSTN® Sony Xperia Z3 ultra-thin PC Case Cover" by Vostrostone does, however, interfere with the "proper" attachment of the connector. Even so, it holds and charges without issue. It just sits at a 30 degree angle (meaning I need to charge on the edge of a table or book or something). I can still lift the phone by the magnetic connector even though it's not properly seated.Has a small LED that is red when charging. Easy to tell that it's connected. LED is not super bright either - nice for not being an always-on night light.Love this thing. I will be ordering two more. And... because I can't leave well enough alone, I'm going to try to file some of the Magnector's edges down to fit better with my case.

Fantastic charging adapter!
My review is for the X2 adapter. I was hesitant to get this at first because I read other people's reviews where they said it tore the magnetic charging port out from their phones. But there were also good reviews so I decided to take a chance and give it a shot. So far, after using it for 4 months, I'd say it was a very good idea that I took that chance as it has been wonderful using it; I use it for my Z3 and so far I haven't had any problems. It comes with the adapter and a case with a string to carry it in. The magnet on the adapter is strong enough so that if you move it (not too fast, of course) while its connected to the phone it will stay on and not come off; this way you can still use it to talk on the phone and do other stuff. To compare, I bought this cheap adapter from eBay that has a very weak magnet that comes off from the phone with the slightest movement. Because of other people's comments about the magnet tearing out the port and to minimize that possibility of happening, when I take off the adapter I don't pull it directly off but push it down and then pull it so that it comes off at an angle. As for charging times, it seems to charge an almost depleted battery within 3 hours, which is normal.Overall, a fantastic charging adapter with a very good magnet. I would highly recommend!

X2 with Z3: Good but with annoying LEDs.
I got the Magnector X2 to use with my T-Mobile Z3. I have a Cruzerlite Bugdroid TPU case. The two are completely compatible with one another and don't touch when the Magnector X2 is correctly positioned. However there are a couple of things I dislike about the Magnector X2:Firstly it has an annoying and pointless LED light on the Magnector itself. This LED is either red or green depending on the charge status. Or red when it isn't even plugged into the phone. As I charge my phone overnight like many people, these bright pointless little lights sit there on my side table staring at me. I try to block the light using my alarm clock, but the question remains: Why does it exist at all? It just wastes electricity and offers nothing of value. The phone itself is more than capable of telling me when it is done charging. Plus leaving the light on 24/7 even while not charging is a huge waste of electricity and offers no benefit to anyone (and you're having the charger do AC->DC conversion even when "nothing" is plugged into it adding further waste!).The Magnector X2 often falls off the Z3's charging port. It isn't very securely attached to the side of the phone, so if I lift the phone up the connector will come off. I have to set my phone down and then place the Magnector X2 onto the magnetic port, and leave the whole thing alone until it is done charging. I will fully admit that this is likely an inherent issue with the Z3's magnetic charging port design, it was meant to be used for a dock, not a cable. However even if it is not the fault of the Magnector or MagNector, it is still a legitimate limitation to be aware of. This happens with or without a case, however it can be mitigated by reducing the "hang" weight of the cable (i.e. don't have the cable hang down below the level of the phone, instead anchor the cable to that level then plug it in e.g. set a bedside lamp on the cable after it reaches your bedside table). So would I recommend this? Likely yes. At the time of this review there are only two games in town for the Z3, the Magnector X2 or the official Sony Xperia charging dock. The Magnector X2 may have some minor issues, but it works, and it works reliably. The reviews on the Sony dock are pretty bad, in particular as it seems to work with no cases, and costs roughly twice as much as the Magnector X2.

Tolles Zubehör für Z3
Sehr praktisches Zubehör für das Z3. Die Klappe für den USB-Anschluss kann endlich geschlossen bleiben. Aufladung erfolgt gefühlt sehr schnell. Kleine LED zeigt Ladezustand an.

parfait !

Also erstmal: Die Qulität macht einen sehr sehr guten Eindruck. Gute Verpackung, Guter Stecker.Die Magnetstärke ist mir noch zu schwach, dafuer dass Sie als "improved" angegeben wird - kein Unterschied zu dem Stecker den ich vorher hatte.Warum also 2 Sterne?
