Kizlyar KK0086 Amigo XTI Coated D2 Knife with Grip, Green

Order this item twice via Amazon Prime, two different vendors. Neither knife was the black Ti coated blade advertised. I returned both knives and ordered the actual non-coated blade version (the knife they kept sending in error) for $10 less.The knife itself is great, minor uneven grinding at the swedge. I have much more expensive knifes designed for backup/secondary use and the KS Amigo has by far the best blend of size, comfort/security of grip, and build quality. Perfect for offhand/strong hand scout belt carry for the CCW minded- although a custom kydex sheath may be needed.Supplied sheath (looks cheesy with the Amigo logo) is both fantastic and crappy - depending how you want to mount it. Awaiting delivery of the Kizlyar Supreme belt mounting kit which by the looks of it may not meet my needs for scout belt carry. If not I will try a soft belt loop although the sheath holes placement will make the rig tail heavy and it may not ride well (but fits inside my pants belt loop so that may be an imperfect solution to the knife sagging.) If problematic I will have a custom kydex sheath made for it so I don't have to settle.Once Amazon gets their act together and the knife starts shipping with the Ti blade as advertised, I will order this version again to add to my D2 satin/green and my D2 Black/Black Amigo Xs.

Perfect Design & a well made product!

Great little knife. Unique grip, but comfortable in hand and has excellent retention. However, as previous reviews have stated, the finish is incorrect. Product Description states "Gray Ti Coating". Product arrived with a satin blade, so I knocked off a star off for the description error.

This is an under rated knife. It’s made of D2 tool steel. “Bear Claws” and similar knives are made from an inexpensive hardnable stainless steel, not this knife. It will sharpen as sharp as a straight razor. It also has a finger hole in the knife. This prevents an opponent from knocking or pulling the knife from your hand. This is an excellent Self-Defense weapon. I don’t care where it was made; the designer who designed it, had their head together.If you are on a city bus, at a bus stop or on the street, or in a restaurant and some one grabs hold of you, your “Amigo” will cut them to shreds. A fantastic knife and easy to conceal and a necessary tool for your own safety.
