Not the high quality product the reviews had portrayed. Disappointed.
Before I purchased this, I had checked out the reviews on Amazon thoroughly. I was looking for a quality cell phone holder to go on my bike because I spend a lot of time cycling but need my phone for navigation and tracking. Extremely impressed by the almost perfect 5 star rating, I bought this and was eagerly waiting for it to go with me on a ride.It was a big disappointment to say the least when I finally received this product. It was definitely NOT the high quality product I was expecting from the reviews. I thought there must have been a huge disconnect, so I went back and read the reviews again. Apparently what had slipped my attention the first time was the fact that a number of the reviews were written by reviewers who had received complimentary units in return for their feedback. While a number of other reviewers did not mention this explicitly in their reviews, the fact that all these reviews were written within such a narrow time window (around Dec 7 to 10, 2014) makes these suspicious. If I had noticed this, I probably would have decoded these reviews with more care before I buy. The fact that there is no review from after long-term use is also problematic. I think every "compensated" review on Amazon.com should be required to state this clearly; otherwise, this practice will become a huge disservice to the customer community on Amazon.About the product itself... 1. The holder is made of a hard plastic frame with a rubberized surface. While the rubbery surface may prevent slip, it is just a very unattractive material and will no doubt wear out quickly. I also don't think the hard plastic will stand up to the bump and hits my bike gets on the road or on the trails 2. The holder is barely large enough to hold my phone. When I take it out of the holder, the yellow rubbery material rubs off on the ridges on the sides of my phone. 3. The release mechanism (two red tabs on the top and bottom on the back side of the unit) also seems like they are going to break any time. I don't think they could provide the needed tension to hold the clamp closed tightly over long term. 4. Finally, the harness which fastens the holder to the handle bar is a very unreassuringly thin 1/8 inch plastic strap which looks extremely flimsy. I would hate for this strap to break during a ride.My initial analysis... I will hold on to this for a couple more days before I decide whether to return it at a loss. Ironically, for the cost of this unit, I probably would have been less critical had I not seen the overwhelmingly positive reviews first. But unfortunately, they were not describing the key features of the product properly and I feel compelled to set the facts straight for others.

iPhone 6 Owners BewareโNo Headset Port Access!
Although I cannot question the quality of this product, it's a little misleading to say that an iPhone 6 entirely "fits."After placing it on my road bike, I was excited to see that my iPhone 6 was held securely (even with the thin protective case on my phone); HOWEVER, the product's bottom bracket arm covered the headphone plug completely so that I couldn't use it while riding. Rather than go through the hassle of a return, I considered drilling a hole but decided that it would probably weaken the plastic.Instead, I've opted to flip the holder upside-down so that I can have access to the bottom of the phone, then use a rubber band to help ensure the phone won't slip out when biking. So far, that works, but I wouldn't dare test it on a rough road or a mountain bike. Also, flipping it upside-down means that the side bracket covers the power and volume buttons. Hopefully, they'll redesign it for iPhone 6 users so the bottom bracket is centered rather than on the left side. Otherwise, I'd give the product 5 stars.

it does the job
This product is alright. The gripiness is alright, but not quite enough. The bottom stop is right where my earbud jack is, so that is problematic. I like that it is a small gadget but you have to squeeze REALLY hard to get the side clamps to clamp; otherwise when I ride over something bumpy the phone has a chance to fly out. Also the seller sent me many emails to rate the product immediately, and the tone was pushy and off-putting.

Excellent product.
Weird review here, but 1.) this thing didn't work for me but 2.) I still love it.What? My phone (OnePlus One) was just a couple centimeters too big to fit into the maximum setting of the Gripper, but I was nonetheless very impressed with everything else about it. The functionality (yes, if my phone would have fit), the looks, the ease of installation and the (apparent) durability were all very top notch.I had to return mine, but for for those with a slightly smaller phone than mine, I think this thing is great. To the manufacturer, I'll buy another one in a heart beat if you can confirm a model that fits my OnePlus One!

Everything about the My Ride Gripper is very good. I like the adjustable side holders that secure the phone firmly, and the band that mounts the unit to the handle bar. However, I have had to glue the phone holder to the handle bar mount because the single screw that hold the two pieces together allows the unit to swivel too easily. Must be a better solution?

AMAZING!
This thing is AMAZING! I am a newbie when it comes to motorcycles: I just bought a moped and thought this could be great to use whenever I need the GPS app from my cell phone. I wasn't wrong! I am adding some pics so you can see how it looks in case you're thinking on buying it for your motorcycle... And in case you are wondering, it doesnt slip, it just stays securely attached to the handlebar or in my case, to the arm f the mirror. Such a great product! I would recommend for sure! I have a Galaxy S5 mini...Fits perfectly and securely!

Solid Phone Holder
I use this on my road bike next to the bike computer. At first I thought it wouldn't grip my s6 tight enough, and the little stop at the bottom isn't very high. I ride on several unkept roads and was sure my phone was going to jump and run, however, it didn't move a bit. Probably the best phone holder I've owned and it's not nearly as heavy and bulky as some of the others I've had. Highly recommend it.

Works great 10 times better than the Lisen version I bought
Works great 10 times better than the Lisen version I bought. The only reason I gave it 4 stars, is that it looked like it had been opened and used, and I paid for new.I wouldn't really mind about the packaging, but the unit itself looks dirty.
