Great Easter gift for Arabic speakers learning English
I bought two of these Arabic/English Bibles for an Egyptian Christian friend of mine, and his wife, for Easter. My friend has been working very heard on improving his English, and already had an Arabic Bible. He was so excited to see the Arabic and English side by side, and he read the first sentence to me, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth" in Arabic and then in English. What a wonderful gift, not only the Bible itself for my friend, but for me to hear Scripture in both languages.I had tried to find a soft leather-bound Arabic/English Bible, but was unable to find one. This is the one that always came up in my internet searches. One cool thing to me is that this Bible opens back to front, like all Arabic books, since Arabic is read right to left. Interesting to have Genesis in the back and Revelation in the front! Yes, it is on the heavy side, but hey -- it is the whole Bible in two very different languages in the same book! And very thin paper. I think they did the best they could to make it both legible and as compact as possible. I'm sure my friend does not mind that it is heavy. :)

A Fine Choice for Arabic/English Speakers
I greatly liked this Bible because it was just what I had in mind for my Muslim 'daughter' who speaks Arabic. Since she also speaks fairly fluent English, yet it is not her mother tongue, I felt this Bible would be just the thing for her to read the Word of God in her mother tongue--Arabic, yet also be able to broaden her knowledge of English some, by having the Bible in English as well. With this Bible having one column in the Arabic language, and the column next to it in English, I believe my 'daughter' will enjoy and benefit from this Arabic/English (NIV) Edition Bible. I'm glad the English part is from the NIV; the NIV is much easier to understand than the King James Version, and especially for one who is only fairly fluent in English, but not 100% comfortable with it.I would recommend this edition Bible to anyone desiring to give a Bible to a Muslim friend, so they can read for themselves what our Bible actually says, and not rely on here-say.

ESL STUDENT LIKED THIS EDITION
I cannot read Arabic, but my friend said it was a good translation. He loved the parallel layout. Now he can read the Bible in English for practice, or in the language of his heart for enrichment.

Nice quality, collectors item; thin pages, so be careful!
Pretty good quality printing with full vowel markings. If you're studying Arabic, it is a good intermediate source material that you are probably familiar with. The pages on this book are ridiculously thin (which makes sense). I haven't torn one yet, but you must be very careful when turning them. It's hard to fit two large books into one large book, so the publishers clearly had to use thinner pages. The book is quite large, so this works better on a desk than a pocket or messenger bag.

Excellent service, beautiful product
When I ordered this product, I had put the wrong address and notified the seller later that day. They immediately changed the address and the product came within that week. It was in excellent condition.I thought it was interesting that the entire Bible is written right to left. The English (of course) is written left to right, but you flip the pages to your left. I bought this for a friend.

AMAZING!
My husband and I love that we can share the same Bible and read the same passages in two different languages! This is also great for learning an additional language.
