Good book I love it

My children were a little bit discouraged looking at chapter books when they were in second grade. This book is a chapter book and in their reading level but it is short so it doesn't take them three days like a regular chapter book does. The stories must be extremely interesting because they made me buy all of the books in the series! They are picky readers and it is hard to find a book that they like and want to keep reading.

The Greetings from Somewhere series combines grade school mysteries with exotic locations and a bit of geography and culture lessons for the kids. With plenty of illustrations and some good natured sibling rivalry between the twins Ethan and Ella, it's been a real hit with our kids.In this book they are off to Greece to find the secret of some breaks in at an archeological site that also sheds some light on their Grandfather and his mysterious gifts.From a grownup perspective their parents are idiots who let the kids go off and play in in ancient ruins or wander off with a strange man. And the ending seems to put just a bit too much faith in the detective skills of 10 year olds, but for the kids this is all a nice bit of fantasy. Our girls love these books and actually read this one on their own before I read it with them!Honestly the ten books in this series were a great buy and I would not mind seeing more. But it seems to have run its course and the author or editor made the wise decision to leave on a high note rather than wait until audiences get tired.

My son absolutely loved this book! We bought this book because it is set in Greece. Now, he wants me to order the rest. Highly recommended.
