Beautiful Pot
Not that appearances really matter all that much when it comes to cookware, but this is one beautiful pot! Nice color and manufactured very well. The base of the pot is quite unique, as are the rest of the TeChef pots and pans. I have cooked a few dishes so far and not only did they turn out well, but they were easy to clean up since the pot has no rivets.*****PROS*****1. High quality in both materials and appearance. Very unique. You can tell this pot is well made when you first pick it up. You likely won't find someone else with a similar pot (unless of course they have the same one).2. Heats evenly (just give it time to heat up).3. No rivets. Cleanup is a breeze.4. Comes with a matching lid.*****CONS*****1. The handles are very short, which makes the pot difficult to hold with one hand. This is fairly apparent by the picture, but still something to keep in mind. When you go from a standard pot with a single long handle to a pot like this, you will realize how much you have become accustomed to using one hand to pour.2. TeChef recommends you do not cook with high heat. This increases the time it takes to boil liquids. If this is super important to you, you probably want to find another pot that isn't Teflon coated.3. The lid is not the same style as lids you buy separately from TeChef. It'd be fantastic if the lid that comes with the pots also had the "stand up" feature present on the separate lids.

So far, so good.
So far, so good! I love the look of the pot and the pretty aubergine color. It's not typical. It's a good size for most things I cook, aside from large batches of soups or a gumbo. There is a tiny bit of assembly required with the lid. You have to attach the handle by screwing it on. It took me maybe 10 seconds and I only used my hands. I know some people consider the assembly a deterrent, although I find that to be ridiculous unless you have a physical issue that would make it difficult. It also comes with two silicone handle covers so you can pick up the pot without burning yourself.Overall, this is a great pot. I hope the quality lasts.

Room for improvement
The pot is light-weight, and perfect for boiling dumplings and cooking soup. The heat distribution is fast and even. The problem is with the handles. Since they are one piece (from what I can tell) with the pot, the handles get VERY hot. I must wear heat resistant mittens to remove the soup pot from the heat. The handles are also on the small side, and makes me worry that I might drop the pot while wearing mittens.

Beautiful and functional
Beautiful design, perfect for braising and smaller soup quantities. I like how it is light but still sturdy so I don't have to worry about weight when transporting full to oven from stove. I also like how they give you little silicon holders to hold the sides with so you don't need to use full oven mitts. I plan on using this for Korean stew dishes on top of a butane stovetop when camping.
