My Best Beard Balm Leave in Conditioner with Hold

lets start off with saying, this was not what i expected...it looks like sunscreen and goes on like it too.....it gets tacky quick...and dont even think about running comb through your beard after application...that is the downside...the good side is it is great for maintaining shape and hold and keeping the hair where you want it...it lasts most of the day and does not take much...overall i give it a 5 but to the newcoming the learning curve on application and how it behaves can be steep...the smell is not bad it reminds me of sunscreen... UPDATE: I am on my second bottle of this product, it is so great! I am so sold on this stuff, my beard maintains its shape all day long with no further application one and done, and it has no smell to contend with whatever scent i feel like wearing that day. My beard feels good and looks good with this in my mane....i enjoy the breeze and my beard does not get all kids of wonky while i do it. it has all my stars and all my love and if you get it a little moist just wait a moment and reshape your lady bait. amazing stuff right here. be a man and get some of this in your tackle box for your lady bait!

I have a thick, wirey, red-haired beard. This product doesn't seem to be able to fully control my beard. I've correctly followed the instructions, and I've even tested adding more product to the beard. It seems to hold best within the first hour. Then the hold seems to fade. It's better than nothing and the jar goes a long way.It can seam a little sticky on the face if you are forced to add more to gain control of the beard. It also doesn't seem to condition better than regular hair conditioner or beard oil.Overall, 3 stars because it does help, but the hold really doesn't last that long for me, I don't feel conditioned, and I paid 20 dollars.

I tried it a few times and it works pretty well... but.... if you care at ALL about ingredients... what you're putting on your face and exposing yourself to... I realized I better stick to many other brands with a handful of ingredients (if that) which I can pronounce, and understand the origin of. It almost seems as if they scrape up the toxic sludge from the smoke stack filters of plastics factories to reconstitute as beard balm.

It's very hard to apply to a wet beard and impossible to apply to a dry beard. Ive used waxes and oils that have the same effect and much easier to apply. I still get "fly aways" so basically this product is useless...I've seen good reviews for this stuff and cannot figure out why.

I used to use a beard balm from Honest Amish. It wasn't the best for styling but it left my beard really soft and a little shiny. This product is fantastic for styling because it really has a strong hold for many hours after applying it. My only complaint ("complaint" is a strong word) is that it leaves the beard looking rather dry and the beard is not really that soft to the touch like it was with the Honest Amish product. All in all, this one works better for me and I think I'll stick with it for the forseeable future because the whispy, out of control hairs I have along the jawline are much easier to control.

Perfect. My wife hated the smell of my other waxes. This one smells neutral almost like a light lotion. It goes on like a lotion but has slight tackiness to it for a mild hold. Washes out easily. Works great for general grooming of my handlebar mustache when I want to wear it relaxed. I do have my hard wax that I use when I want to sport the true curls of the handlebar mustache and need that firm hold, but this product is great for what i needed it for. I don't have a beard but i can surely see how it will tame the beard just as well. I know this company also makes a Mustache Wax but i wanted this as it not shinny and the other one has peppermint which my i didn't want. The balm leaves the stache soft and conditioned well with a natural matte finish. Again, my wife and I both love the smell and once it dries, it has no smell. Though It would be nice if they had smaller container for pocket travel :-)

This was exactly what I was looking for. I had tried several balms and so called waxes before this and everything was so greasy and crummy, what some label as a wax resembled more of a chap stick type texture.I absolutely love the texture and it has a great hold. It's not greasy, oily or slimy like some of the stuff on the market. It is on the drier side. Works great going on wet or dry, I prefer dry. I have a wild beard with many rebellious whiskers and this whips those crazy bass turds right in line.Recommended all the way, this stuff is great!

I'm disappointed. After reading such great reviews I went for it. I was surprised how small the container is for the price, but more importantly, I find I didn't have the overwhelmingly good experience like other reviewers:1. Smell: it's not awful, but it's not particularly pleasant. Makes me think of potpourri scented candles and the smell at a dog kennel. Luckily, it goes away after about 5 minutes.2. Hold: it more or less keeps the structure together, but it isn't a silver bullet for wild hairs, they are largely unaffected.
