SiriusXM Antenna with 8 inch Cable

This short SiriusXM antenna works great if you want to keep your antenna on your dash. One of my vehicles has a metal grate over a speaker located in the center of the dash, right behind my XM receiver. This antenna was perfect - it sticks to the grate so it doesn't slide around when I drive and I don't have a big bundle of cable tucked in behind my receiver.You have two other mounting alternatives if you want to use this in your car - you can get a special windshield mount here on amazon that designed just for mounting the S-XM antenna on the windshield. Alternatively, you can get a set of replacement magnetic mounting plates - the ones that go on the backs of cell phones - and stick one of those to your dash to give you a magnetic surface to mount this antenna.I get three bars all the time outdoors and sometimes get decent reception in above ground garages.

Although an outdoor mount provides the best reception, this "short" cable allows for an easy, clean indoor mount on the dash of your vehicle (or on a motorcycle). To get a "clean" look, I used a 3m Dual Lock strip to attach the antenna itself to my suction cup mount. Next, I wrapped the antenna cord around the suction cup mount and secured it with black zip ties. Even mounted upside down, I got perfect reception.In all but the worst conditions, I have found the dashboard mount (using the antenna with the normal length cord) to provide good reception.

Bought this for a project to allow for my XM to be more transportable between cars, and cut back on the wires laying all over. Works perfect!
