This is a good concept and it may work well for bigger dogs. My two fur babies are small (14 lb) Chi mixes and this did not work well for them. The four year old only wanted to lick this rather than doing any chewing. The eight month old did want to chew it some, but her preference was to chew the flat end which is meant to be held by their paws as they chew the bristle ends. I tried using the chicken flavored toothpaste and peanut butter on different occasions to see how the dogs did with this. Personally, I consider this a waste of money and wish I had not bought one for each dog.

I was actually really surprised by the durability of this dog toothbrush—I’ve had others that were just chewed up & destroyed after a couple uses, so I wanted to use this one multiple times before reviewing it. I’m pleased to say that this has been used for a month now & still looks brand new! Our fur baby loves this and it’s easy & comfortable for me to hold onto while using in his mouth. We use a doggie paste & just drizzle it over the brush before using. It has held up well over multiple uses & the most important thing for me is it’s comfortable for the kids or me to hold, but also has NOT caused any bleeding of the gums...which I’ve had trouble with other brushes before, so the nubs on it aren’t sharp or hard but they get the job done! Think I’m going to buy another to have on hand, but I have a feeling this is going to last a long time!

My dog is an 18lb standard dachshund and she's already chewed some of the rubber nubs and part of the base off of the toothbrush. It really should last longer. Use with caution to avoid your pet ingesting the brushMy dogs seem to really like it. I put some peanut butter in it to get them interested. They are dachshunds and small, so the toy is a little bigger than I'd like, but they figured it out.

The chemical odor is overwhelming. It has been on the counter and in the dishwasher ever since 12/18. The odor has not abated at all. No amount of toothpaste or peanut butter will take the stench away. My dog sniffed it and walked away and he loves his toothpaste and peanut butter. Save your money. Great concept but horrible material!Update! I heard back from the company and they offered a full refund which was deposited into my paypal account the next day. I appreciate how quickly they responded!

My dog absolutely loves this. She has chewed some of the bumps off and it's only been about three weeks however it did a good job getting rid of a lot of her plaque. If you follow the manufacturer's advice and give it to them for only 5 minutes it works much better. And it lasts longer. It's meant to be a toothbrush not a toy. I have a Yorkie and I have the small brush and I hold it for her to chew on so that she can't rip it apart and chew the handles on the bottom.

Besides the fact that this dog toy looks like a severely abrasive sex toy that I have to hide from the dogs when company comes over so that my dogs don't bring it to my guests and present them with this perverted "tooth cleaning device", I haven't really seen this product make any dent in my dog's dental build-up. Although since purchasing this toy, the neighbor's cat keeps lingering around. I'm sure the cat is just looking for some dental scrubbing too.

It’s his new go-to favored chew toy—I just tuck a tiny piece of favorite meat into the center or some dog toothpaste and he turns into a chewing fiend! The toothbrush’s pet safe natural rubber is soft and very durable and the textured bristles clean his teeth while he gnaws away! He enjoys his “toy” so much, it occupies him for long periods of time and is a stress free way to keep his teeth and gums clean! The design is perfect for a dog—easy to grab hold of and carry around, chew from any angle, or hold in position with his paw using the base of the chew. The rubber material creates a squeaky sound from his teeth as he furiously chews away, which gets him even more excited! This has been a great product for my dog!

Very small reservoir to add toothpaste or remove old residue.My dog has shown little interest so far. For the price, I would notrecommend.Update: Company did contact me with hints for a better experience for my dog with the product. They also followed up to see if the suggestions worked. Although my dog still showed no interest, the company has given me a full refund. Very impressive customer service!
