It’s exactly as advertised. I’m pretty happy with the product. Needed these for a couple of wooden dog crates I made for my three dogs. They definitely get the job done.I was hoping I’d be able to press the door and have it self lock but I was worried these wouldn’t do that. They actually do! With no trouble at all.Easy to screw them in and I really have nothing bad to say seeing as I am satisfied with the result.My dogs wouldn’t ever try to escape from the crate and push the door open but even if they did try with some effort I don’t think these will give out. They’re pretty sturdy.Hope that helps.

We got this to install on our laundry chute door. We had a door, but it didn't catch/latch and the cat jumped in and landed in the laundry room (which is in the basement). The cat was fine, but we realized we needed to keep the door from just opening. This latch does the trick.I just tied some paracord to the latch loop. Now I just pull the latch to release the laundry chute door when I'm ready to sort the clothes or do the wash.

Works well for holding attic door shut - and house interior is keeping its temperature surprisingly more effectively than without the latching of the attic door - wish we’d have done this years ago.

These are great, and I have no regrets about buying them. My only complaint is with the much too short screws; they should be about twice the length they are, and with more aggressive threads. These screws might work if installed into hardwood, but for my outdoor purposes, they weren't any good.

This latch is excellent and exceeded my expectations. Made of Aluminum that was black anodized. It seems that they used hard anodize which is a much better process and makes the Aluminum stronger and more fade resistant in outdoor applications. Time will tell if it is hard anodize based on how much faded it looks. From construction perspective it is excellent and I recommend it. I will be buying another one

I used two of these on two baby gates I made. They are easy to open and close. The latch is very solid. The company was terrific to work with as one of the packages was missing a piece and they handled it perfectly.

I had project-in style lock handles on my basement hopper windows that had broken over time and I could not find a replacement with the same dimensions. After some dimension checking, I decided to try these window gate locks and they worked perfectly. Only gave it 4 stars because the paint could be more durable.

I didn't realize it has spring action, when pulled does not stay unlocked, you have to hold it to keep it unlocked, not good for me since I have to hold it open and with my other arm hold handle of door to open. Nice construction but 3 stars because not eligible for return, stuck with it.
