Here is a video of me grinding hard wheat berries into very fine flour for baking. While the intake to the mill is pretty small I keep my material I want to Mill in a bowl nearby and pour it in as the hopper is depleted. Works great for spices when making Indian food!

It's nice and cute, I intend to mill some root bark in it, and the entry port is a bit smaller than I think would be comfortable for the root barkwork that I intend to put through it. I like the burr mill design, it just seems better to me than flat plates, it seems more organic to me. We've put some cocoa beans through it, and it put out a nice fine powder, I've also put elder berries through it just fine. (smells just like blueberries! Mmmmmm), it's a bit smaller than I thought it was going to be, but that's okay too, less effort required to mill out the material per cycle. We also have another larger mill, and it takes alot of effort to mill things, if its fully loaded (good exercise though). I'm not sure the small size is some sort of down side for my project, the end product seems to be quite satisfactory. I think I'm rather pleased.

This grinder does a nice job with poppyseeds. The hopper can only handle a small amount at a time, so it takes a bit of refilling if you are grinding enough for poppyseed roll. Also, you will want a soup bowl to collect the grind. The low profile does not allow for a regular mixing bowl.

The grinder works well............just like my grandmothers. Had an issue with the handle at first but the seller was quick to resolve it. Would purchase again from this seller. The item was received in 2 days.

Yay poppy seed pastry is way better when the seeds are crushed.

I used with flax seed and worked great. Looking forward to using it with lots of others small seed.

The unit looks like it is well made but be warned it is very small, OK for small poppy seeds but not really ideal for larger seeds. The hopper is not much bigger than your thumb.
