Not the product's fault
I bought this to introduce my 11 year old daughter to electronics. Unfortunately I got carried away while looking at the variety and versatility this promises, overlooking there are an overwhelming number of components and that the parts are fiddly to insert into the tiny holes in the breadboard. We started on Project one (thinking it was logical) but should have headed the note that said to start with project 7. Project 1 is designed to show you what the kit is capable of producing, but my daughter inserted a couple of components inaccurately in the tiny holes, had touching wires and maybe a loose connection which took me a while to find and fix. Once working she was delighter with the chirping bird sound, but was daunted by the complexity. Had we started with experiment 7 she may have been more enthused. I have since bought her a John Adams Hot Wires kit which is robust and clicks together securely, which she loves. I think this product will be excellent once she is a little older, and blame myself for its current inappropriateness.

Second thoughts
I am sorry if my negative review has caused you any problems with your ratings. I was annoyed, and it did cause issues for me, but the fact that I had ordered this item for a resident with mental health issues was not your fault, and the fact that he now hates me because he blames me for the fact he does not have the item he wanted is not your fault either. I was informed of the fact that the item was out of stock and the entire amount was refunded promptly, so you have my permission to withdraw my initial review.I would still like to redeem myself by ordering this item, so if you have it back in stock I would be more than happy to re-order it.Sue Down
