Wow! This gives you an appreciation for real basket weavers - patience and time and more patience and time!
My 3rd-grader (daughter) wrote a report on the Maidu of Northern California and made a cedar bark tepee and some of one of these baskets for her diorama. After more than 800 stitches she had a basket about 1.5 inches tall - a long ways from being completed! It truly is beautiful, and the pattern is already taking form. It would be easier if the grasses were a bit more woody/sturdy. If you actually complete this kit you will have a beautiful basket and a great sense of accomplishment!
