This IR receiver extension cable connects from an A/V receiver to a headset and our 9-ft IR receiver cable and other stereo connections. It's an easy solution to extend distance up to 25 feet or daisy chain two for up to 50 feet. This unit works with DTA and other cables that require stereo connection as well as Dr. Dre Beats, BOSE and other headsets including Apple Ear Buds. Built with professional-grade construction, this stereo jack extension cable will last years and we manufacture to CL3 standards with fire-retardant material that allows for in-wall installations.

Not for my application
I bought this item to extent the length of my IR blaster. Unfortunately, I did not know all that much about cables and it did not work for this application. However, I have another project in mind and this should work perfectly.I bought two other items IR blast and extension cable from the same seller. These did not work either for my application, but it is again because of my lack of knowledge and not the cables fault. The problem is with my IR extender card. I finally made a cable for my application. It is working perfectly.I am in the process of sending back the second pair of cables. The real test of a seller (for me anyway) is their customer support. I will let you know how that goes. The item arrived really quick and in new condition and packaging.

Good product
Worked okay but didn't want to cooperate at times. Decent product that did what it was meant to do most of the time.

Some customer service reps could use more technical training
I queried Amazon customers about whether this would work on my Samsung smart TV or not. There were three replies: One "No", one "It works on my different brand TV", and a company representative said, "It should". I accessed Samsung customer support to find out if Samsung made an IR extension. Their reply essentially said that their included extension was the only one that would work since their equipment was proprietary and I was limited to their 6 ft. extension. I ordered it anyway. It came on time, I connected it to my TV, ran the extension down through the floor, across the basement ceiling, up through the floor by the satellite box in another room, attached Samsung's IR repeater, and it works (I admit, I tested it first.) I am very satisfied.

Just what I needed
Good stereo jack extension cable. I wanted to listen to music and watch movies while being mobile to exercise and cook in the kitchen. Didn't notice any reduction in sound quality. I use them with a pair of audio-technica-ATH M50 headphones. Good combo.

a needed item for IR unit
hello, most televisions have short ir cords and the receiver. they stick out from beneath the edge of the tv. but we used a longer ir extension cord along with all of our other cords to keep the wall mount tv stand by itself. it is a simple way to use the ir receiver and not have it adding external to the smooth design of the new tv. the tv now stands by itself without any wires, receivers, it is just the tv in the built in enclosure. simple to use and simple to install. fast delivery. thanks

The description was deceiving and it is not what I ...
The description was deceiving and it is not what I expected or needed. It is labeled as an IR Receiver and emitter which it is neither, It is an extension chord which goes in between the unit and the IR receiver to extend them. I needed a longer line with the IR incorporated into it.

Simple and effective remote extender
Like many people, I had the STB in a closet. I first put a "receiver" device through the wall so I could operate the remote, well, remotely. But after moving the TV to another wall, I was stuck with having to turn around and point the remote to the "receiver" that was behind me. This purchased this extender wire that I ran through my drop ceiling, placed the receiver node thru a hole, and voila, no problems. Great, simple, cheap answer to my problems. Highly recommended.
