This pomade is nice. I would like it better if it had more natural ingredients, but it is what it is. The boy will be using the pomade. He is young enough that natural doesn't mean a darn thing to him. Name brands, of course, but not what they are made of. He will like that it gives him a nice shine and keeps his hair in place. The smell is okay and isn't a long term heady smell.

This pomade is comparable to some of the big name water-based pomades as far as it’s consistency and hold. The smell is not too overpowering, and has a masculine aroma. As far as hold, a small amount goes a long way...about a fingertip full takes care of my hair for the day. Since it’s water-based, you can easily fix your fair throughout the day with just a little water and a comb. And if you’ve ever used water-based pomades before, they wash out very easily with water and shampoo.

I like this product

I was very skeptic of this product because I normally use a paste that is not sticky and has a light hold and gives a matte look. However, I did like this product for many reasons: 1. It does have a pretty firm hold all day and doesn't loosen up at all throughout the day until you shower and clean your hair, 2. Despite the sticky gooeyness of handling in your hands and applying to hair it becomes a little easier to use once you start combing/brushing the product into your hair, 3. it only takes minutes after applying when the hardness takes effect, which I love, 4. One of the biggest advantages I like compared to my normal paste is the amount you need. With my normal paste I feel I use a lot to get my hair the way I want it but with this pomade I don't use very much, maybe a nickel size amount, and it covers my whole head, BIG PLUS in my mind. Doesn't have a smell to it good or bad and the shine luster is there with a very strong hold very similar to gel or even a hairspray hold. I wouldn't classify this product as a paste but more as a thick gel. Either way, I have stopped using my paste and have only been using this Pomade for the great reliability it provides.

My husband thinks he has taken ownership of this pomade but I sneak and use it too! It's really GOOD. I have short hair and just a little of this pomade smeared on my finger tips forces my stubborn hair into doing exactly what I want it to do. I can give my hair a finger combed look or spike it, or a day-at-the-beach look. It virtually has no scent that I can detect and that is really a perk since I can't stand smelling sweetly scented pomades all day. This is the best pomade I have ever used and I have tried several different kinds.
