This beautiful doll is part of the International Series by Madame Alexander. She is the Madame Alexander Ital #553 doll from the 1980s. This lovely girl stands 8" in height and is a straight leg doll with jointed neck, shoulders and hips. She is marked "Italy" on her back. This doll has pretty dark hair gathered at the back of her head. She is wearing a white cotton headscarf with lace trim. Her blouse has white cotton puff sleeves with lace trim. The bodice of the blouse is black felt. Her full ankle length skirt is bright green with a multi-colored trim at the bottom edge. She wears an ecru apron with a floral trim. Her petticoat and bloomers are white cotton with lace trim. She wears white stockings and black shoes. She also wears a gold cross necklace around her neck.
