Interesting how reviewers say opposite things. I like the sound of these bells. They have a gentle tone. I find it pleasant. Love these bells.

What size is cat appropriate

I would use this on a cat I wanted to be sure did not go out the door! The ring is deeper than a tinkle of tiny 3/16th bells. It is 1” from bottom to top of ring & 1/2” wide. It would work on a small dog as well. I have an escape cat for whom I want to use on him as he is an escape artist!

Can Medium size be used on a keychain ? Or should choose small ?

I got medium for our new puppy that was always getting underfoot. And they are just a bit too big for her. I guess it depends on how loud you want them to be. I would assume that the smaller set is a bit quieter. I think the medium would make a fine key chain
