Adult Full Leg Waterproof Plaster Cast Cover & Bandage Dressing Protector & Walker Boot Cast for Shower & Bath Reusable

I'm a 5'10" man of 19 stones. My thighs are quite large because I spend a lot of my spare time at the local gymnasium weight training. I have suffered from problems with my right knee for many years after and accident at work. Having reached the age of 55 with a lot of pain over the years, my surgeon decided that I would benefit from a complete knee replacement.After the operation and discharge from hospital, I was wondering about how I would shower with a vertical dressing of some 12"long down the face of my knee.As always, I found the ideal item on Amazon. With prime delivery it arrived the day after ordering and consequently 1 week after surgery (when I could hobble un-crutched) I was able to shower.When it arrived, I thought that the plastic ring would not accommodate my upper thigh, I was so wrong.I require assistance assistance getting the ring over my foot, but after that the process is easy.The rubber cuff is suprisingly supple and just requires a little assistance over the wound.It fits exactly like the neck of a wetsuit, providing a waterproof (for shower anyway) seal.After use, hang the cover up to dry and store it away.After my experience with this product, I would highly recommend it.

This keeps my cast perfectly dry in the shower, but the bath is a different story. I am unable to stand because I have a broken ankle that I cannot put weight on, so bathing is easier. After 4 attempts at bathing and ending up with a damp cast every time, I ended up putting a step stool in my shower.When I had my temporary cast replaced with a longer lasting one, the people who did it gave me a leaflet about Limbo Waterproof Protectors, which are recommended by the NHS. I've ordered one that hasn't arrived yet. If it works in the bath, I'll add a comment to this review.Update: The Limbo protector worked better in the bath, but still left my cast slightly damp.

This was my second order of this item, the first was a couple of years ago but I never used it and when I needed it, I couldn't find it, so after a knee operation in Nov 2018, I ordered another one.Not able to get my dressing and wound wet, I was a little apprehensive when I first used it in case it didn't work.However, I had no need to fear as the rubber ring at the top of the leg cover is very strong and forms a perfect seal on the leg above the top of my dressing, meaning it was free from getting wet or damp at all.This item really does the job and I would recommended it without hesitation.

It was HUGE, was as big as a tall child! The 'cuff' around the top of my leg was uncomfortably tight, but in fairness it would have to be to be water proof! hard to assess something like this, I was in pain from surgery and frightened of falling in the shower----but, It did the job. Quite expensive for the number of times I actually used it though.

This product is brilliant, I challenge you to find a leg or brace/cast this would not fit over. I was in a full leg immobilisation camp splint and then upgraded to a PCL brace for seven months. This allowed me to bathe without any trouble and stop having to resort to hospital-esque birdbaths. No leaks, no problems and a very comfortable fit thanks to the silicone opening at the top which conforms to any leg size.

Amazing! I could have a shower straight after my knee surgery which was wonderful! No leaking at all as silicone seal works well. Needed a bit of help putting it on first few times due to nature of operation and it is pretty long (I’m 6 foot tall) but worth weight in gold!

Keeps the leg dry during showers, however a bit too tight to fit over an injured leg.

i got this product to cover my prosthetic limb what a fantastic product i can have a shower standing on both legs its so hard to stand on one leg in shower unless someone helps you this has made showering so much easier very well made highly recomend to everybody
