30W is the maximum discharge capability.

Q: Why is this device still advertised as a charger, when it is merely a fancy charge *controller*, can't charge anything w/o a power supply?

Because it is a charger. Doesn't matter what the nput is. Whether it's dc or ac voltage. The ac input chargers have a power supply that's built in. You just don't see it. Those built in power supplies very limited as far as power. Those chargers that use external power supplies are only limited by the power capability of the power supply. That makes the dc input chargers so much more capable are far as charge voltage and charge current. There isn't a AC charger that comes in as small a package as the X6 that even comes close to what the X6 can do.
