Westwood Design Jonesport 4 in 1 Convertible Crib, Chocolate Mist

We bought this bed for my son when he was born and hoped to use it until he left home. We used it as a crib and toddler bed for which it was adequate, but not great. The wood scratches and dents easily and is low-quality. We converted it to a full-sized bed when he was four. To our great disappointment, we discovered that the mattress support system only included four slats -- not enough to support a mattress without sagging. We reinforced it with extra boards. That worked for a year, then we discover that the rails were splitting. Since the bed uses a sliders system to fit the rails into the bedframe, we couldn't replace the rails and have a good fit. We tried reinforcing them, but they ultimately split through and the bed collapsed. One would hope that a bed meant last from infancy though teen years would be more durable, but this one isn't. We bought our other two children similar beds from other manufacturers and they are definitely well built and will last. I don't recommend this bed if you want a bed that will last beyond early childhood.
