Takes a minute to break them in, but it’s soooo worth it
As always, I thoroughly read dozens of reviews to make an informed decision on these boots. I decided to go for it, and I want to give a bit of advice so you won’t end up with painful blisters, and cuts like I saw on some poor person’s ankles here. As far as the sizing goes, I normally wear a 7.5 regular or wide depending on the brand (love the lack of consistent sizing for most clothing and shoes, yuck). Based on what I read, size 7 would fit best. No toe pinching at all, they are literally perfect. The top of my foot felt a little snug for a couple of days, but they loosened up just a little and now they’ve molded to my feet. These are challenging to pull on for about 7 days. I noticed marked improvement on day 3, but still tough. I had to WORK my feet into these the first time. I want to say it took me almost 15 minutes to get them on. If you’re like me and can’t make your foot flex like a ballerina, there is hope, it just takes patience, and extra time getting dressed so you’re not late from fighting to get your boots on. 3 weeks in, and I can get them on in 2 minutes or better. Let’s talk socks. You will need some thick socks, I went with Hanes extra cushion crew socks. I made the mistake of using ankle socks that were maybe half an inch too short, so my shins got bruised AF from the boots rubbing and pressing against them. Once I got my new socks, I folded them down over themselves so I’d have easily 2 inches of sock above boot, and extra padding from the punishing top of the boot. Not once did my actual feet hurt from wearing, it was just the shins. I don’t have to fold my socks down any longer, as they’re pretty much broken in after 3 weeks. Thicker socks feel great with these, I’ve been wearing them to work everyday and my other work shoes are dead to me. RIP Skechers ✌🏻

Great boots
These boots are amazing can be worn with pretty much anything. They’re women’s boots but for any other guys eyeing these you should probably size up from your men’s size by 1 if you can. I’m a 9.5 men’s and bought a 10 women’s and they fit VERY snug at first but, they ended up loosening up after use so they’re comfortable now.

98% Perfect
Love, love, LOVE these boots! I've always wanted a pair and am happy with them now that I finally have them. Totally did not realize they were steel-toe boots when I bought them (they were on sale for 30% off!) so that was a nice bonus to discover when I tried them on the first time. They're snug around the ankle, easy to get on and off, stylish and sturdy, AND I get an extra three inches of height too! Two complaints. First is that the fit is a little loose (I'm a size 7 and ordered a size 7), but wearing a pair of thick socks, or two pairs of thin socks, makes them fit perfectly. Not a big deal considering they're my fall/winter boots for work, and I intended on wearing thick socks with them anyway. Second, the elastic on the outside of the right boot is already starting to fray :( I didn't realize that that was "a thing" common to the Chelsea boots after Doc Marten switched manufacturers, so to say I'm bummed is a bit of an understatement. I bought them in September 2022 and it's now the beginning of November 2022, so it only took about 2 months of consistent wear for the fraying to start. JAN 2025 UPDATE: These boots are still amazing! The fraying on the side has not changed or gotten worse over the years, and I've worn them way more often than just in the fall/winter (they're super cute with ankle socks and sundresses in the summertime FYI). I purchased the official Doc Marten sole inserts, and now they fit PERFECTLY and I can wear them year-round comfortably. Also, there was never a breaking-in period with these boots, they were perfectly comfortable from the get-go.

In love with these boots!
I love these boots so much! They are pretty comfy after breaking them in and fairly easy to walk in despite the platform. They are a little hard to shove your foot into at first but it gets easier the more you wear them. I love wearing them to work to give a little bit of alternative edge to my business casual outfits or out and about for date nights. I normally wear a 7.5 so I ordered an 8 and they fit fairly well, wearing thicker socks helped fill in the little bit of extra room they have on me but I normally wear boot socks with boots like these anyways.

stylish but needed insoles
they’re super cute! i bought them for work, as i needed non-slips. docs were originally created as a working boot so thought i’d gift myself some docs for my bday and have a pair of shoes for work! (i work as a barback) they take a goooood minute to build up your tolerance for these shoes. docs usually take a while to break in so wasn’t expecting them to be comfortable right off the bat. however, after having worked in them for several 8-9 hour shifts AND walking in them everyday for classes, i thought for sure they’d be broken in! i crumbled- my feet felt like they were going to crack open, so i bought some basic insoles and now they’re amazing! i love wearing them and my feet don’t hurt! size wise, i’d say they run a little bigger. i’m a 6 1/2 and bought a size 6. definitely a bit roomy but not too bad, especially with socks on (thinner or thicker) + the insoles. if you want a more roomy fit, it’s somewhat true to size. i’m not sure if i would have gone down to a 5 though. (the ankle can be a bit snug and difficult to remove, so i don’t think i would’ve been able to remove them without injuring myself lol) i love them though! the tread does wear out more quickly than i thought, and they are a bit heavier than normal shoes so be careful to not drag your feet!

Fantastic boots!
I adore these boots. I wear them at almost every day to work. I’m on my feet for a majority of the day. They are comfortable and easy to walk in. In the beginning, it was a little difficult to get my foot in, but as the elastic stretched out a bit (a few days), I can now put them on with ease. I have a wide foot and these fit me comfortably. Definitely recommend.

Amazing quality
I love Dr. Martens and have 2 pairs that I wear regularly for work and have been very amazed by. I have changed up my style a bit from when I originally bought those, so I needed a change of pace for when im not at work. I intend to wear my old pairs for work regularly and have my new pair for when I go out and want to look nice but also casual without wearing sneakers because sneakers have never really been my thing. These are so comfortable, fit is perfect, and I am making sure to take care of them with leather conditioner and everything else! High recommend!!

Sizing insights
My boots arrived authentic, unworn, and in perfect condition, which is a relief because you never know what you're gonna get when you order on here these days. As far as sizing, I'm a straight 8 or 8w in women's shoes for most brands, so that's what I ordered. People say to size down for Doc's, but I really think it depends on the shape of your feet, what kind of socks you wear, and how much pain you're willing to put up with until the tight leather shoes loosen up as they're broken-in. Plus the different styles of Doc's vary in toe box and ankle size, not to mention some leather types are more flexible and forgiving than others. Wyoming is more flexible but thick so I didn't expect as much give from it. I have boney feet with wide toes and skinny ankles. Size 8 in these is a bit long on me, but I wouldn't want to size down a whole size because my toes would be crushed in the narrow part of the toe box. The tightness of the ankle on these boots is perfect for me, I didn't even have to stretch it out, and it keeps my foot stable in an otherwise roomy shoe. The one time I went to the Dr. Marten's store, I tried on size 8 and size 7 in Jadon platforms, and the store associate basically foot-shamed me into getting the 7's because he said they looked more proportional with my body (I'm 5'2 105lbs). Anyway, I returned them a week later because I'd rather have comfortable clown feet than bleeding toes and back/joint problems. If you wear a half size usually and don't have weird feet like me, probably go ahead and size down, because they do run big, but it's more like a half size bigger than most shoes. And if you're self-conscious about your feet looking "too big" and have the patience to stretch your shoes to a perfect fit, by all means, go for it and size down. I mean, I wish my feet were a cute size 6 so I could make money off them. But I'm still ordering an 8. Tldr: Order your usual size unless you wear half sizes and then you can size down. Or ignore and follow your heart. Nothing matters.

Exceeded Expectations
I get compliments on these boots every time I wear them, which has been everywhere from rainy days in the city to snowy hikes back home. They're quite heavy but super versatile, and the tread on the bottom is as good as any winter boot I've owned. They're platform but your foot sits fairly flat in the footbed. I got the size 7, I'm usually a 7.5 (7 in sneakers, 8 in heels), they're a little loose when I wear them with just tights but can also fit heavy winter socks so I'm pleased with the extra room. I never got "breaking in" blisters or soreness in my feet. Boots are easy to slip on and high quality material. I bought from Amazon because no other site had my size in at the time and it was well worth it.

You'll want to size down in these.
I've had these about a fortnight now, it took about 4 days to break them in even with the DM double socks. I used the balsam polish on it as well. I really love the style and the Amazon price offers great value. I feel like these will last me for years to come. I'm glad for those who've reviewed these in the past, I'm usually a UK6 but UK5 fits great and have molded perfectly to my feet. Get you one!

Very nice and comfortable!
I love them, year ago ordered on Dr. Martens site but DHL delivery failed so I was upset, had money back and had neder ordered it again. When I saw them on Amazon I directly knew I want to order, took three days and I am a happy owner. I am thinking to order one more pair LOL
