The recorder arrived as described and on time. I used it to have a fellow classmate record my professor lectures while I was hospitalized so I did not miss any material covered on exams. The recorder records excellent and is easy to do and the sound was good with the volume easy to operate. The only drawback came to when listening to the playback. The lectures were two hours long and once you start it, the only way to move forward is to push and hold the forward button that goes forward one second at a time. In order to stop and then restart, I had to hold the forward button down for several minutes and if you don't keep very consistent pressure it starts over again. Moving around inside the recording is doable but not easy and the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.

Am just trying to upload files that I have recorded onto my PC - through Windows 10. It has been impossible to figure out. Any help out there?

The recorder has good quality sound with the two speakers. The instruction manual needs to be enhanced to define the features and options. One drawback is the fast forward and backward features. For example, if you record something for 4 hours and you only want to hear the last 15 minutes, you have to press the fast forward button which only goes by seconds and not minutes. Also, you can go to the end of the recorder, but the backward button will not work if you start at the end of the recording. For the price, it is a great buy.

Inexpensive, comparatively, it's a bit complicated for a non-techy (I've never even owned a cellphone), and the buttons are small, but when I took my time to figure it out (I know, I know, I could've just read the instruction booklet), it worked very well. I was using a Spirit Box, and could not get anything on it, so I used this digital recorder to record the white noise and using simple Windows Media Player picked up very clear words and short sentences that were not heard when the recording was made. When I put it through a sound analyzer (my brother-in-law is a techy) a whole lot came out, with just a little added echo/reverb - including the voice of my recently deceased wife, telling me she loves me. So good product, especially for the price.

When I bought this a while ago I noticed right away that the menu, buttons, and scrolling were not at all intuitive but I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning and finding a new one. I figured over time it would become easier to use. Not true. What happened instead is that I almost never reach for it anymore because I get so frustrated with trying to navigate the buttons. For example, scrolling up and down on the menu, instead of using the up and down keys, uses the left and right keys. What?! Why?! The on/off is a slide button on one side and the record/save is a slide button on the other side, which feels exactly the same and is in the same position, so there's no muscle memory to tell you which is which. You have to look at it and squint to read the tiny writing to see what you're doing. A number of my recordings have also been corrupted somehow and I can't open them in any media player.

But that's my fault. I didn't read any measurements before buying. It's very simple to operate. There are three modes: music, voice and setting. When you use the optional TF card you either direct your files to the devices memory, or to the TF card memory. They are separate. I suspect that I will save all my files on the TF card, and deleting files from the devices memory is tedious - i.e., one at the time. That's okay though. The TF card slot works with a 32 gb card. The slot is not spring loaded and it's not clear how the card stays secure, but, it's working. First recordings were brilliant except for a few coughs by me close up. Ironic, the news is showing someone coughing in the Oval Office as the President is making a speech.

I got this for my daughter for college lectures. She told me it records great and has fantastic sound quality. She sits in the back of the room, but the recording sounds like she is in the front right by the professor. I would highly recommend this recorder. I love this recorder. It’s the right size to carry in your pocket or purse. The sound is so clear. My husband is going to take it with him in the truck to record his loads to remember to download the information when he gets home. I couldn’t believe how clear the sound is. We recorded different stuff on it when we got it. We recorded our dogs barking far off and sounds from the tv. It was so clear and it was like the dogs where right by us. I would recommend this recorder to anyone. It would be good for anyone who needs to take notes or recording notes to remember yourself.
