I purchased this tool for everyday carry in the field. It is sturdy and well made, the sheath retention is excellent. It came razor sharp.

Winkler Woodsman - A brilliant knife
Winkler knives, by Master Knife Maker, Daniel Winkler, are some of the "best" knives made. He is a true American Craftsman, and his work speaks for itself (Google him).I've owned the Winkler Woodsman (walnut scales) for 3 months and don't regret the purchase. I own a few higher priced knives (ie. Dark Timber), and my Woodsman is arguably my favorite. It's extremely functional and the fit/finish are outstanding. Winkler knives are on the expensive end, but if you are looking for an heirloom quality, American made knife, then you will not regret investing in this one.Note: I actually purchased my Woodsman from another vendor (Amazon was out of stock at the time I chose to buy), but could have saved myself on shipping with my Prime membership had it been available. I highly recommend this knife and all Daniel Winkler - Winkler Knives.
