They work
I lost the clip on an existing light, thought I would have to replace the whole light. Found these, I only needed one but dead cheap and work just like the original

Easy to fit
Fitted it to my downlight with no problems.

They need to have turned up ends so you can grip them to squeeze closed
As the tips or these are not bent up, trying to get them squeezed closed with your fingers and inserted in the light socket, under a mantle piece, was impossible. They need to have turned up ends!

does the job, though unlike originals the ends are in the same plane as the circular portion. For ease of removal had to bend these manually - but not a hard fix.
