Unfortunately My daughter has a Lexus RX400h 2008 that she is learning to drive In and this approach of adding a HUD is a very good way of keeping her eyes on the road and monitoring her speed. I bought this product as I found conflicting data in the website from the Q&A section that indicated it did not work with ANY Lexus vehicles but later in the same posting it indicated only 3 Lexus were identified as NOT being compatible with this product. In reality the problem lies in the fact that this car is a hybrid and it appears that the unit does not like the vehicle switching from electric motor drive to gas engine drive. This means the unit will cease working and blank out and reboot. On the plus side when you are traveling over 25 miles per hour the electric motors are not the primary drive and the unit works perfectly. This slow speed inconsistency is not good for a young driver who is relying on the data it presents. (I understand that this is an idiot readout and only an idiot would believe it) but it’s prominent in the windshield

Exactly what I was looking for! I've had several HUDs in the past and decided I just wanted one that had only speed. I didn't need all that extra info such as temp, RPM, etc. displayed. I also didn't want a reflective screen on my windshield, so the built-in screen is great. Another good thing about this unit is that you can adjust the speed. Out of the box. It was off by about 3 MPH, but I was able to adjust it so that it's now dead on.The only complaint I have is that the auto brightness could be a little better. During dawn and dusk it's a little too bright. However, it's nice and bright during the day time, and nice and dim during the night. It's just those in-between times where it's still a bit too bright for my liking, but it's not that big of a deal. Just a little nitpicking.

This is the only plug n play HUD I've been able to find that plugs into OBD2 port in your car. Every other I've seen requires your phone to sit on it. This one works great and very simple to operate and works with NO PHONE! I get people asking me about it whenever they get in my truck.Pros:I feel a lot safer being able to keep my eyes on the road at all times.Simple to setup and use.Very bright unless the sun directly in your face.Shows your water temp in C and F.You can check battery voltage.Comes with sticky rubber pads for positioning on your dash.Lets you adjust and fine tune speed and RPM guage for better accuracy.Cons:It kind of sticks out like a sore thumb.No fuel level guage even though box States it.The cable is exceptionally long, so much slack I nearly didn't have a place to put all the extra wire.

Awesome product!! Better than image!I find this product because I found there's speed display on other luxury car, which is comfortable and convenient. Then I try to find a accessory for head up display.I don't like the other brand's colorful display and I'm afraid of the distortion when reflect on my windshield. Then I found this product. It's easy to use with clear display. Match my expectation!+ Easy to use. Just need to plug into OBD port then start to use.+ Projective board is transparent and won't block the sight. Even place it behind steering wheel.+ Projective brightness will change atuomatically according to the environment.+ 2 non-slip mat for adjusting the angle.+ Can check the voltage and water temperature if pull up the botton on right side.- Plastic body, I wish surface can be more glossy. Anyway, the designer may consider the reflection of sunlight.- Original water temperature is °C and I need to change to °F according the manual.

The units comes with an extra mounting pad. Simply plug it in to your OBD-II port and you are off and running. It has several options on the display side, the instructions are difficult to follow if you want anything more than the basic speed/RPM display.

I was looking for a simple HUD for my Toyota Camry 2018, and this one did the job! Only displays speed and RPM, but that is enough for me. It does not reflect into the windshield, but instead it has it's own reflective transparent plastic where it displays the info. It's bright during the day, and it automatically adjusts the brightness at night (although it's still kind of bright for me). Was a breeze to install, just connected it to the OBD2 port, and started working out of the box, it's already set up to show MPH. It also includes two sticky pads to mount it to the car's dashboard. It has a manual if you want to dabble with the settings. When you turn on the car, the HUD first displays the battery voltage, but after a few seconds it displays MPH and RPM. Loving it so far!

My wife was disappointed her new 2019 Lexus RX350 didn't come with a digital speedometer. This one fit the void perfectly. Easy install. Plug and Play. Works great. I didn't even need to adjust the speedometer.

If you just want speed and rpm, then this is great HUD for you. Very clear display and no double images. However, it’s very limiting and you can find many cheaper alternatives.
