First, I would *never* leave my dog unattended while wearing this collar. We had been working with the collar for a few days and it was going pretty well; he was able to stop himself from barking wildly, without shivering in fear and depression like he did the first night. Then I ordered a pizza. My poor boy reverted to high, shrill barks and wasn't able to stop right away, and I'm guessing he triggered the "correction" mode. He screamed as if he was dying, tried to run somewhere and everywhere, continuing to scream as the collar went off again. He was so terrified I couldn't get him to let me get it unhooked for too long a time. It was horrible!Second, before the incident, the collar was so inconsistent it made little sense as to when it would sound. Several times my dog barked at some noise, there was no warning from the collar, and he then barked like crazy. Then a few times it would beep when he would just grumble-growl, and once it even went off when he barked- and it was sitting across the room on a shelf! Consistency is one of the most important things in training.Now, the reason I haven't just thrown it in the garbage: I no longer even have to put the collar on my little dog for it to work! I let him see it, and I push the button if he actually barks, and the few days he wore it were enough to break the cycle and help him understand what I wanted from him. It has been wonderful and so much more enjoyable, for both of us, I think. This morning was a huge success; the maintenance guy knocked on the door and it took only one push of the button to get Leo's attention, and he was even able to deal with the man being inside with only my voice keeping him from freaking out.Sooo, I am beyond thrilled with the results for me and my little dog, but I have no idea if it will work in the same way for others. And if my dog was barking when I wasn't home, I would have to find another solution. I was as traumatized as Leo was when it made him scream, and I haven't put it back on him since. But it has made a world of difference in our lives, if you try it I hope it works for you, too.

It doesn't work on my dogs. One is a small 10kg with a calm personality, the other is medium sized with around 17kg and much more energetic, but both have this barking behaviour that needs to be corrected. It doesn't work on either of them even when the settings are in the highest level. The product looks nice if that matters, but the instructions are horrible (even thought I don't think they're really necessary). But I think its important to say that there might be reasons for not working on my dogs, for example they are very costumed to high noises, so maybe this just doesn't have the needed impact on them.

Was very pleased initially with this product. Did not cause pain to my pup but helped me start the training process. Very disappointed that excessive barking caused the product to break and seller has not responded to my request to resolve the issue. Collar was sitting on counter while roughhousing with dogs in the living room. the coller started to go off and will not stop the high pitch noise unless batteries are taken out. Confused as to how barking broke a bark collar?
