Kitchen Kahuna 12 Inch Silicone Whisk - Wire Whisk

This whisk is lighter than I was expecting. It has performed adequately so far, but I fear it won't last long. I am trying to be gentle with it, so it doesn't break.

I used this whisk a total of three times, the last of which one of the wires popped out of its place. My son pushed it back in the hole and noticed it had been welded he believed, because of the coloring of the end (welding changes the color of metal). I wasn't thrilled that it came out to begin with, but I still needed to use a whisk, so continued using it for that meal. Upon washing it (by hand), however, the handle then filled with water as apparently the broken weld also caused it to now allow water to get into the hollow handle. I returned it. Going back to Target to buy one there again, as the last one I had from them was not only cheaper, but lasted several years before needing to be replaced (the silicone eventually split).

I was surprised at first because it was so light weight and didn't think it was going to stand up to what I needed it to do. I've used it a few times now and this thing does a great job. I made a pretty thick cheese sauce and it never wavered, slowed down or got things stuck in the tines. Love that it won't scratch my pans and I don't have to hear that awful grating sound when stirring. Thank you for a perfect product.

A little flimsy.

One of the wires popped out before I got it out of the box. Another wire popped out the first time I used it. I keep trying to pop them back in, because I hate throwing anything away... but they spring out every time, throwing stuff out everywhere.

I love my new whisk. It won't scratch my pans and bowls, but the main reason I ordered this was the size, it won't slide down into the food. had this problem before with the shorter ones, they were never long enough for my large pan, Now when I make pudding I can step away for a few minutes and when I come back the handle is still up on the side. The non stick washes easily. The color is very pretty and like the stainless steel, just a very nice whisk.

Love this whisk and it doesn't scratch the bottoms of my coated cooking utensils. When you pay good money for the items you cook with it is a good practice to use items designed to not hurt them. This silicone coated whisk does no harm and doesn't clog with ingredients you're using as does the standard wisk. Highly recommended for the cook who is looking for items to make live easier.
