Compact and feels solid, easy access to ports, great for tinkering. But GPIO markings are unreadable on white case

I bought a Raspberry Pi A+ for $20, and was debating whether or not to get a case for it. But for the price this case was selling for, I decided to go for it. It's cheaper now too; I paid couple bucks more than the current price at the time. This case is basically a "sandwich" of layers of plastic, of course with your Pi A+ in the middle. So what you get is a set of layers of plastic, the parts to put it all together, and a set of rubber feet too. Assembling the case wasn't difficult for me, and I was able to put it together with given parts and instructions. But I've taken apart and put together a lot of things, and it wasn't the easiest Raspberry Pi case I've put together either. The clear layers feel sturdy, but the opaque (white) plastic ones slightly less so. Those touch the circuit board and presumably the plastic needs to be narrow in some areas, but the thin/narrow plastic looks delicate. I'd just be careful putting it together; it's probably not much of a worry after assembly. This case's design provides access to all ports, including all 40 of the Pi A+'s GPIO pins. There are other openings too, such as over the CPU if you wish to install a heatsink on it. Apparently laser-etched markings indicate which GPIO is which, but on the white case in particular these are difficult to read due to the low contrast with the white plastic underneath the markings. Compare pictures of this case with Laser Goodies' red version of the A+ case (for example), and you will see the difference. I suppose these markings could be useful, but this particular one makes them difficult to read. This case isn't much of a protective one. I bought it considering that the A+ was only $20 and not much of a loss if broken. The case is great for everyday use, but you'll probably bend some GPIO pins if you throw it around too much. It was also my first Pi with 40-pin GPIO, and therefore much of my work was going to be tinkering with the A+ and stuff connected to it. It's a great case for me since the Pi A+ fits well, case is compact and feels solid, and I have access to every connector I need.

It fits with no problems but one of the acrylic pieces came without the protective sheet and with glue residue that I have had to take care of before assembling the case

    Nice Development Enclosure

Nice protection for the Raspberry Pi a+. Good for experimentation, but not for a final product. Not enough external protection is provided.
