Blind Spot Mirror AB01

As long as this mirror saved you from a collision even once it's paid for itself. I simply refuse to drive a new vehicle without having one installed. This is a must for DC Metro Highway and Street traffic. You may be a safe driver but the person behind you or to your left may not be. It's always a good idea to be a defensive driver..The trick with this mirror is to get it mounted correctly. They skimp on the instructions but the idea is that you should be able to see the front of the car coming up on your left in the blind spot mirror while seeing just the tail end of the same car in your regular side view mirror..It helps to install and adjust this mirror in a parking lot and use the parked car as a gauge to see if you installed the mirror correctly. Sure you'll look like an idiot to anyone not knowing what you're doing but, its a bonafide way to make sure the mirror works as it is supposed to.

Mirror is well made. Using it takes a little getting used to, as you can see movement in your periphery while driving. If you focus on the road ahead & your normal driver side mirror, the distraction (for me anyway) goes away. The neat thing is with the mirror adjusted properly, if you are tracking a vehicle in your driver side mirror, the vehicle appears in the AutoBahn mirror just as it leaves the driver side mirror, eliminating the need to turn your head to check on the vehicle. My wife is the principal driver of this car and she likes it too, with the same comments as above.

For Tahoe hubs took out one of the joints and adhered with gorilla glue. With mirrors we always know when something is in the blind spots. Best product ever and Will never have a car without these again. I am using Velcro on units in new car till I decide exactly where I want to permanently mount. Also trying with both joints that it comes with and then will try with one joint if needed. It is worth paying the extra dollars for this product vs the other ones on the market or the external ones that adhere to outside mirror. We tried them all believe me, and this was the keeper!

Difficult to position for good viewIf the linkage arms were longer it would view better.I had the same mirror on my 2002 Toyota, I was able to locate it more to the left and it worked fantasticly well..I now have a Mercedes E 350 and due to the design of the car I must install the mirror too far right to get a good view.I tried other mirrors to no avail.My model Mercedes has a huge blind spot.

It is useful in cars with significant blind spots but it does take some getting used to. Plus the shape of the mirror could better utilize it's position. But for a blind spot mirror, it's the best I found in my research.

This is my 8th Autobahn mirror and, I never plan to have another car without one. Although I have blind spot monitoring in my current vehicle it only indicates there is an object in your blind spot. The Autobahn mirror shows it to you without turning your head. Unfortunately they are becoming harder to find. I am so glad Amazon still sells them. I wish I could give it a Six Star rating.Mounting tip mount mirror on the same plane as your side view mirror this way you can see both mirrors at the same time.

This wide-angle mirror cuts out all the dead spots and prevents accidents from the left side.

Excellent workmanship,best blind spot mirror I ever owned. Very easy to install,works as advertised,very easy to adjust.Every body should have one.
