Hardware is ok and has good picture quality. But app and service is far below any modern standard. No external input possible, no browser, no NFTs/wallet connect only simple file upload for random presentation, so it basically has the functionality of a screensaver…and most of it in Korean.

I have owned three Blue Canvas devices for about a year and I like the image quality very much. However recently the app stopped working. I can't access anything. It asks me to update but when I try to do so, it says I can't update. I tried to contact Blue Canvas but got an error message which said that no messages could be received. I am posting here in hopes that someone will see my review and provide some guidance.These devices have good quality images but the software is very buggy and difficult. Most everything is written in Korean also.UPDATE: I found the address for a real person at Bluecanvas and was able to email her with my App questions. She responded after about 2 weeks. She is in Korea but her English is very good. She gave me good suggestions and they worked. I was able to correct the problem with the software easily and can now access my devices. Although the software interface is not great, the image quality definitely IS great. I am glad I have these and I hope they will continue to work well for me.

Pros:1. 1:1 ratio is great and rare. It is perfect for display art compare to 16:9.2. Very bright display. A bit too bright. Not sure if you need that for a surface that is suppose to simulate paper.3. Good picture quality.Cons:1. Quality control is bad. The one I got has obscene backlight leakage.2. No SD card support. (Internal storage is 24G according to them. This info not documented anywhere. Not in manual and spec. Any customer would wonder about it. )3. No Video input. Relies on internet and availability of its online service. So if they decide to discontinue the product/service in a hypothetical scenario, some day. It would turn into electronic junk and hard to be repurposed. (Correct me if I am wrong.)4. No gesture control or any buttons to go forward/backward.5. Software is shoddy on many levels. Please pay some good money and hire quality people. Facepalm. a. You are selling it in North America but did not bother to fully translate the app. Lots of Korean. WHY?! b. Image loading very slow. Please use CDN to distribute content. c. One can not display a single picture at choice. The only way is wait for it to shuffle. WHY!!!?? d. Constantly lost connection to WIFI/Server and shows the error message on display and it relies on internet connection. e. Apps crashes after some scrolling which mean you can only access the top a few hundred images. f. It forgets lightness setting after every restart. g. Scheduling is very primitive. You can only have it ON for 1 continuous period a day. e. Community is stale. No new updates on content since I bought it!

One year later four Bluecanvas Frames have failed. Zero support from manufacturer upon returning frame for repair. Returned frame via DHL, DHL destroyed frame in shipping, manufacture received compensation and I was left in the cold.Everything is a hassle with this frame. Setting up is a hassle. Loading photos is slow, 30-pictures at a time. Support is below par, I'm waiting for nearly three weeks for a response to two questions.Lastly, my purchase from December turned into a brick two weeks ago. Amazon, with much discussion, sent a replacement that was sealed which meant it was new.My two digital screens from Bluecanvas were manufactured in October of 2018.Marked down a star rating. Into May. The replacement screen may have crashed as well, days ago I contacted tech supp and zero response to how to reboot, how to delete a device (the new screen has added the new screen to the settings).

The media could not be loaded.  I’ve heard from my friend in Korea that this product is a great hit! So, I bought this for my apartment in New York, and so far I love this smart frame! Super light, slim and high quality display. Surface of the display is antiglare, so it doesn’t reflect any lights, it renders contents(artwork, photo, and video) lifelike. SUPER DOPE!!!!!!!!!! It also comes with a detachable walnut frame, so you can use your product both ways, with or without walnut frame. You can create total 12 collections(folders), I have created a collection with my wedding photo and another collection with artworks. I have downloaded free artworks (Van Gogh, Monet, Klimt, etc….) and it really changes the mood of the apartment, my flat is now a gallery filled with masterpieces. App = remote control of the frame (+art platform) is SUPER easy to use, but you need some time to get use to it by exploring the app after connecting your frame(device) with your app account. There are few artworks I am willing to purchase, and it is affordable! I recommend <col.lage Plus> Sho Jang & Min Kim’s artworks! I heard that their artworks are worth about $200,000, but from here you can buy their limited edition artwork exclusively created for BLUECANVAS users around $200. Next week I am planning a trip to abroad, and can’t wait to send my photo directly to my BLUECANVAS in New York while traveling! So convenient! I hope this review helps your concerns, and please leave any comments if you have any questions! :) I am a big fan of this product and I really wish many people use this smart frame for their spaces! It’s WORTH IT!PS. The product is a flat design, also it is super light, so you can hang the product on the wall like a painting. Product comes with nails and bracket, and on the back of the product is designed to easily hang on a wall. (Check my photo)

this has a beautiful picture. but the support is terrible. I bought this and it worked for a few months. then i couldn't get it to work. I can't reach anyone from support. the support is overseas and really disappointing.
