Ghillie Sniper Veil - 100% Cotton - 48" X 40" - Lightweight, Breathable Camouflage for Face & Head

For starters I'm not a sniper and don't have a huge collection of tactical gear. With that said, as an outdoorsman, I love this thing. It showed up quick. Although it only has a seam on one side it has stayed together well. Out here we have a lot of desert and a lot of heat so I sweat a lot. Which is relevant because when I wash the funk out of this thing it bleeds dye. However, I've washed it a few times and it hasn't faded much. When I'm hiking in the summer I often use it to help keep the sun off me. In dry California heat sometimes its also nice to put some water on it and wrap it around your neck to keep you cool. Now as far as a Secret Squirrel sniper veil, I'm sure it'd do the job well. I have brought it turkey hunting to help break up my profile in heavier foliage and in lighter brush while shooting where it's been effective as far as making me harder to spot. Sniper approved? I'll leave that up to the pros (or keyboard warriors). Sportsman approved? Definitely.I have recommended this product to friends and I own a few.UPDATE: A new Veil I just purchased last week is actually stitched on all sides. So that's actually pretty cool. Bonus points for that.

I have one of these in various patterns in my backpacks. I use them to camouflage my pack if I stash it up in the woods to explore, hunting hides, neck and head cover to name a few uses. I like it and will buy more.

good size will have to repost with actual dimensions. Wasn't horribly stiff, I did hand wash in cold and it DOES BLEED COLOR like crazy. Will most likely take several washes to get it to stop. Otherwise after wash it was soft and smelled fine. No issues there. It is hemmed on one side, open on the other like so many of the others that I've read about. No biggie. I figure if it starts to unravel or something I'll burn the ends and see if that will stop it or have it hemmed.

Overall decent quality. However one of the colors in the desert camo pattern is BRIGHT ORANGE! I purchased this for my son to play with so not a huge deal but worth letting other people know. If you plan on using for airsoft or paintball it will not be great camouflage.

I love the quality and size of this veil, I gave it 4 stars because I've seen some with a bit wider thread on the market that could have better durability. But so far so good, I haven't had any issues with it.

These things are great, bought two. Solid construction, very practical as a range scarf or hunting smock. Highly ventilated but when fabric overlapped several times provides good cold protection, not to mention solar pro.

Excellent product. As a firearms instructor, I’m on the range all day long. Sometimes the temperatures exceed the 100 degree mark. This veil keeps the sun and the wind off of me, as well as keeping me cool during the day. Take it from me, you want this veil to keep you comfortable. Also for an extra cooling feature, soak it in water and ringe it out for more of a cooling effect. KUDOS!!!!!

Only two side of mine are hemmed and I hand washed it before using as per some of the reviews because the dye does need to be rinsed. Outside of that it works for me and has held up so far.
