Got this book immediately on publication. As a lifelong student of astrology, I've seen a lot of books on the subject. This book stands out! Most Useable Resource for Astrology students at any level! So WELL organized to pick up topics as needed. And Graphically BEAUTIFUL. Illustrations are sweet! As a graphic designer I know that CONTRIBUTES powerfully to CLEAR communication and user friendliness. It's physically NICE in the hand, and CONTENT simple, direct. Author is EXTREMELY knowledgeable, encourages developing YOUR own intuitive approach. 👉👉 WELL planned and edited. 🏆✨ I will USE this book! I like the way the author uses a psychological or evolutionary approach to astrology. People often make the mistake of seeing astrology as the ‘will of the heavens’ and we have no choices. The approach that Louise Edington takes shows how to look at opposing signs and other aspects to help balance our energies for the better. This is an excellent book for the beginner or more advanced astrologer to learn to look at the chart in a different way. I’ve been studying my chart for years and this book brought me a fresh new approach.

This is solidly written in easy to understand terminology and concepts. great book, very insightful and perhaps one of my favorite authors on astrology based.

I love the modern applications of astrology that this book provides. It’s a book for the modern age of online natal charts that doesn’t overwhelm you with details about ancient astrology that are no longer the standard. The problem is, it’s not very accurate. There are technical mistakes throughout such as saying “Leo” when the entire section was about Virgo (I included that in the pictures). There were the most errors in the Virgo section which is hilarious, but if you’re a Virgo you might want to avoid this book for the sake of your own sanity. If you can get past the errors it’s an entertaining read for understanding the basics of astrology.

This book is the perfect beginner's/intermediate guide to astrology. Not only is it extremely well-organized, thought out, and aesthetically pleasing (Libra rising here!), the author does an excellent job of emphasizing HOW you can use your chart to lead a fulfilled life. She offers simple, practical tips and strategies to do so. I find that this is what other astro books have lacked in the past. The book also describes houses, nodes, and basic chart patterns for those wishing to dig deeper than sun/moon/rising. You will not be disappointed!!

I have really enjoyed it. The only complaint is the once you get into the chapters the basic info is repetitive. I just skipped over the fluff and read in the meat of each sign. Will be using as a reference book in my collection of astrology books.

I have been an astrology aficionado for over 40 years and have a rather extensive library of astrology books. This is THE book I have longed for. Everything you ever wanted to know about how the heavens influence us, is here in easy to read format. For beginners and not so beginners, Louise lays it all out there with clarity and wit.

Modern Astrology helps even a beginner to understand the complex nature of natal chart, various houses and implications of each planet in each of these houses. Louise has beautifully elucidated the finer nuances of astronomy. Worth a reading for all those who want to understand the relationship between the stars and the individual.

Lovely book which covers all the basics and gives loots of practical advise on how to take charge of your own destiny!It encourages the reader to take action so NOW is the perfect time to read it , start journaling, doing shamanic journeys and becoming whole! Get it for yourself and for your friends!

I loved reading this it wasnt to deep to get confused reading and understanding. I really enjoyed this book and feel I understand astrology that little bit better.

A book which will be revisited again and again with my birth chart. So much information but also practical suggestions to use astrology to enhance personal growth. This book has definitely re-ignited my interest in Astrology.
