The Bedford Researcher

Great book for research writing. Provides all the information necessary for learning how to properly research and write about any topic. Seeing as how MLA has recently changed, some of the information in this book may be out of date.

This book is way better than the Writer's Reference that is required at both colleges I tutor for. This has become my professional "Bible" for citing MLA, APA, and Chicago styles, as well as the individual components involved in constructing a research paper. This book has helped me tutor students who are not clear on not only citing and formatting issues, but also transitions, annotated bibliographies, drafting outlines, introductions and conclusions, crafting research questions, and fine-tuning a thesis statement.I initially owned the third edition for a writing class, and purchased the fourth edition for my own personal reference and professional tool. I will purchase the fifth and subsequent editions as they come avaiable!

Although used, came in a good contition, some ink marks and a little worn but its still usable

The book was in good condition; however, there was no access code. I had to buy a new book because I needed the access code that goes with the book. The access code that comes with it was almost as much as the book ($5 difference). It would have been nice if this information was available in the description.

Small and easy to go through; having a small wire-bound book in a backpack full of hard-bound books is a blessing.

It was what I asked for. Kind of old and dirty excpected a nicer looking one. Pleased and glad its only a rental.
