Brother SA114 Non-Stick Foot,White

A must have sewing foot.

I was choosing between this non-stick foot and a walking foot to use to quilt a thin quilt. I ended up using the walking foot for the quilt, but already have a project in mind that I will begin very soon and use the non-stick foot. I was a little disappointed to see that the slick bottom of this foot appears to be a piece of tape applied to the bottom of a plastic foot. If the tape stays in place without peeling (for a very long time) I will be completely satisfied. I am expecting it to be fine because Brother seems to care about its reputation and would not tarnish it by putting out junk.

I bought this so I could do top stitching on laminated cotton. It works perfectly. No sticking. Glad I purchased it. The only thing I don’t like about it is the open slot on the front of the foot is on the right side. All of my other feet have it centered or on the left side. Just have to get used to it when I pull the thread to the back. I use this on a Brother Se400.

Picture is misleading. You only get the foot but not the shank but foot works just as it is supposed to.

I wasn't so sure this would work for what I needed - sewing on both sides of velcro pieces - but I tried it and it worked great. I have even used it for things you might typically use a walking foot for. I used it for some straight quilting with layers of fabric and batting on my small sewing machine - the walking foot seemed to be having issues, I popped this foot on and it was nice and smooth. A nice addition to my foot collection.

Love this little foot for knits! This is a replacement for a lost one. Hate to be without it.

The Brother SA114 Non-Stick white foot works perfectly on my Brother machine.
