T106-C 7 Day Electronic Immersion Heater Timer

Requirement was for a new immersion heater installation to run on overnight economy electricity.The item arrived well packed and in good condition.Installation was straight forward; power in - power out to immersion heater.On power-up, the display is extremely dim and barely readable. A few minutes patients and the display looks good.Programming is very easy and every option is available in terms of timer programming; probably too many for the average user.The timer has been operating for several weeks with no problem.A good, cost effective product.

Got item delivered pretty fast. On installation item was not working, that is doing nothing, no display, lights etc.Got in touch with supplier who told me to ring tech support. Did so and told to get replacement via supplier. After the fifth time explaining on phonre to various people was told to post faulty item and they will send replacement when they gat said item. I was not willing to pay for post or wait for postal ping-pong. Item dud, supplier dud. Hope Amazon refund me.

I purchased this timer to replace another model by the same manufacturer that lasted 15 years. It was simple to set up with easy to understand controls. This model is the complete opposite with fiddle tiny buttons and difficult to read LCD. However it does actually do the job but I am reluctant to alter the setting again!

Nice and neat but you need good eyesight! fortunately its the sort of thing where you are likely to set it once and leave for ever. If you want a manual override for on that's only pushing a button a couple of times. I had the previous model of this and it for at least ten years or more.

Product arrived within 3 days of ordering online and was exactly what I was looking for. This product was recommended to me by an electrician to install on my immersion heater as we had just installed solar panels, and wanted to reduce the electrical "footprint". It was very simple to install and connect.

Brilliant timer, keeps exact time and day whilst small enough to be hidden. So easy to set up and also change day program and time

I decided to buy this despite the other reviews which were less than positive. Although the LCD screen is on the small side the numbers and words/symbols were clear by using a magnifying glass. My eyesight is not good and I often have to read displays this way. One disadvantage is the screen is not back lite but although I was installing in an airing cupboard that has not got much light, with the magnifying glass it was ok to read.When the timer arrived the display was very faint as the units backup battery had nearly gone flat. When it was powered up the display was fine after two or three minutes. In my view programming it was easy, I only looked at the instructions briefly and to get into programming the timer was a case of pressing the Y button twice selecting from the right side of the display either programming or setting clock. First I set the clock also making sure I set the day, then I entered programming mode. It has 24 "time setting" capabilities more than I will ever use as I only wanted a ON OFF in the morning an ON OFF in the evening with both set to different times for Mon-Friday and Sat-Sunday. So I only set the first 4 programmable times (each on has the on and off. Interestingly the unit has a "countdown" timer although I doubt I will use that, but I will be using the function to set the clock to GMT or BST - pity it does not do that automatically but that would need a unit where you put in the date.It took me about an hour to install, as I was using the timer to switch a pump and zone valve I only used 0.75mm 3 core cable but for an immersion heater you will require 2.5mm and that is the maximum the unit can take. The terminal clamps are good but space is limited so it is necessary to cut and sheath the cable carefully to make it fit.For me this was a very good but at just under £23.00 excellent value for money and although there are some small negatives this is countered by the price so I am giving it 5 stars.
